Phil Read reported in VFL

Just read in the Advertiser that Read was reported for unduly rough play for an incident in the VFL game which resulted in Josh Thurgood slamming into the fence and having to be stretchered off and taken to hospital. Anyone see the incident, and do they think he'll get suspended? (I know Jess will say yes, but what does everyone else think? )

Nope.His tribunal hearing is on Tuesday.

I saw it. Thurgood was absolutely smashed. He was on the ground for ages while the game was stopped.

From what I seen reed would have no worries. Thurgood had the ball running along boundary line and reed bumped him solidly in the side. Thurgood went a over apex and his head hit the fence. Umpire didn't pay a free kick and it all looked fair enough

It was the other end to me & I don't think the big screen was working then, but they could still have been filming.
