I don't know if there is a better method now but on a pc I would select a number of pics and right click to choose to email them. It would then give you the option to resize the photos to small, medium or large and then I could save them from the attachment in the email and delete the email after. A bit clunky but it was a quick way of reducing several images at once.

I just open the photo, resize the window to a small size then use the snipping tool to copy it and paste directly into bigfooty. It's why all photos I post are slightly different in size/shape but it gets the job done. Can also cut out any undesirable bits to focus on the good.

In the backyard re-discovering my old macro lens with the new camera this morning

Battle of Hastings was in 1066, which marked the beginning of the Norman Conquest, so there can't be too many Norman churches still standing that were built in those eleven years. Funny how the grass is only half-mown...

You prompted me to do some research to test the story I was told.

The parish church of st michaels and all saints: nave c.1100 or slightly later, tower c. 1200, church restored 1866-7. Some of the original wall paintings / frescos are apparently quite special but it was locked today. One of the wooden beams inside was dated 1120.

Nothing much here is as old as that, unless you count the great big rock in the middle of it all. It's impressive how old some of the things are, how much history they've stood through.

Also thanks for the photos! Enjoy the little bits and pieces you share from time to time :)

I took this in a quaint seaside village town I visited in Sussex last week. The poms are quite pedantic about what constitutes a village and what constitutes a town.

Anyway, this is exactly how I imagined the backdrop to T.S. Eliot's pathetic, poncy Prufrock and, with this in mind, I went off in search of seedy oyster bars. Alas, there were none to be found.

Beachy head, a very popular suicide spot in the UK. A few years back Nick Cave's son fell off a cliff and died not far from here.

The iconic seven sisters and Beachy Head from the coastguard cottages (The WW2 fighter pilots during the battle of Britain had their last pint in the Beachy Head pub before flying out and wrote their names on the blackboard in the pub in case they didn't return)

Charleston, the country hangout for Virginia Wolf and the rest of the Bloomsbury set - fun times back then!

Great stuff as always tesla1962. :handok:

Are these being taken with your new camera?
Yes, new camera but work too busy to get out much and it gets dark just after breakfast at the moment, at least that’s how it seems.
