And we're back at the North supporters talking down the player they definitely don't want their team to trade for cycle of this thread
If they do end up with him be assured that we'll never hear the end of it...

Until they start flaming him after he requests a trade to Collingwood, of course

If we wanted we could offer 2,15 and future second which is the same as that (ours slightly better as we are likely bottom 4 next year and giants were top 6)

That’s overs imo and was for gws at the time but they were desperate to not get a flight risk Vic metro kid
You want your cake and the icing.

Not happening

Are we?

Or are we going to let WC fans just consistently make grand statements with no footing in reality for the next 5 weeks.

Nearly every WC supporter just wants the club to pick Reid with the pick 1 they have

Such a grand statement I know

Overvaluing the club’s attractiveness as a destination …. If I were north I’d be taking all those picks as you are gonna lose a few more players in the near future

This has literally nothing to do with a player. It is two clubs deciding on a deal. Everyone here is dumber for reading what you posted.

Because our picks are heavily diluted with academy and FA compensation picks, that weren’t around back when you got the Darling pick. I really don’t see the difference, as both drafts were/are compromised.
North need quality > quantity. After this year over 50%of your list will have been top 30 selections. Picks aren't your problem and if you develop what you have you will already peak with a monster of a team.

Name one club that's had the number 1 pick and advised pre draft who they were taking.

He didn’t have to say who they’re taking, but that they know who they’re taking. What’s the harm in saying who you have ranked number 1? Rawlings said a few days ago, if they remain with picks 2 & 3, they know who they’re picking.

But you won’t be?

On what evidence is Reid the best midfielder in this draft?

An incredible utility. Sure.

I’d argue the midfield is almost his weakest position.

The best he’s played in the last 2 years has been at half back, then some dominant games at FF with his midfield performances ranking third imo.
We'll have to agree to disagree on your assessment of Reid's abilities in the midfield.
If you want a player at the coalface generating stoppages he's your man. He makes things happen like no-one else in this draft pool.
Just look at his 3rd quarter against Metro or his game against Geelong in the wild card round or his game playing for Essendon VFL.

I swear Twomey on Gettable a week or so ago said 2 and 2 teens picks were knocked back but he didn’t tweet it anywhere, so I’m unsure. He definitely said something along those lines from memory though.

He said that as a potential offering. North haven’t offered a deal with 2 or 3.

Again, a ridiculous statement.

Duursma kicked 6 goals as a 16 year old last year in a NAB League game and has kicked about 100 goals since that game averaging over 20 disposals a game.

Watson has kicked around 200+ goals in the last 3 years of underage Victorian football (the best in the country).

Sanders took the piss at every level this year and notched up one of the most statistically dominant years we've ever seen, arguably better than both Walsh and Ashcrofts year across all levels.

Then there's McKercher, who only broke from stoppage (on a half back flank), burnt through 50m of the center square for a running goal in the Nab League this year......he's probably the one who can make some things happen like no-one else in the draft tbh.

This draft is full of game breakers. It's not just Reid.

It goes right down to Caddy.

Harley is an unbelievable prospect, but he's not better than everyone else in EVERY department.

You might break 20k on your own without another big Vic club boosting your numbers.

Impressive.
Thanks
Get back to me when crowd numbers win games and flags

In the meantime ponder your winless season coming up and whoever you select if not from WA requesting out after 1 year (we’ve seen this story play out)

That's not really a hill you really want to pitch your tent on, as a North supporter ...

WC do know about winning AFL flags. They are the club i am most afraid of overtaking Hawthorn (along with Geelong).

Remember to leave the night light on when you go to bed.

I was clearly referring to Reid being the selection as a clearance player and wasn't referring to x-factor in every facet of the ground.

Really?

Never happened at WCE.

Not all clubs are run so badly that the best players walk out the door after 1 season.
