In: J Cloke, Mullins, Shackleton, Walker, B.Shaw
Out: Wakelin (inj), Holland (inj), O'Bree, McKee, Lokan

Unleash the kids. Banish the middle aged duds. As I said before the Brisbane game, its better to lose trying our youth than to lose with the same old formula - especially with Finals way out of reach.

What happend to Holland?

I don't think that MM will simply rush in three or four first gamers in the same game.

He did it in Round 2 against the Dogs with 3 debutants that day

Holland has a corky but will probably play

Yeah so, whats your point. Doesn't mean he will do it again.

In: J.Cloke, Walker, McGough, Richards, Shackleton/Mullins.
Out: Wakelin (arm) McKee, O'Bree, Lokan, Swan.

Dane Swan might have had a couple of bad weeks, due to his time on the ground, but he shouldn't be in the side when ineffective and still play 70 mins.
Shane Wakelin is out for the season with a broken forearm, no surgery required though.
Steve McKee is only there because Guy Richards is on the sidelines. McKee took 8 marks, 3 contested during his good game around the ground last week, but the ruck is the issue.
Shane O'Bree has been terrible, his kicking and ineffectiveness in all departments are just not at a standard for his experience.
Matthew Lokan is an absolute joke, needs to go back to bloody South Australia and play reserve footy, or just become the full-time mascot of Crazy Johns.
Jason Cloke and Guy Richards should be right to come back, while Mullins has been close the last few weeks as has Shackleton. Shackles form is another indicator to why he should be bought back in before Luke Mullins.
Tristen Walker has been emergency several times this year, infact he has been emergency 8 times, and played 4 games, so he would be a leading candidate to fill in as a tall defender and help out in the Ruck around the ground to allow Richards some time on the bench to regain fitness if required.

IN: J.Cloke, L.Shackleton, B.Shaw, T.Walker
OUT: S.Wakelin, D.Swan, M.Lokan, S.O'Bree

Stretch is listed at 1-3 weeks on the injury list, so that would see Stevey stay in - and he played too well to be dropped anyway.

Shack is overdue, while Brayden is the future so we may as well debut him now and get a few games under his belt for next year.

J.Cloke is an obvious pick.

Edit: forgot about cheese! Walker in for O'Bree.

If stretch is still on the injury list, then both Shack and Mullins can come in to fill in for the big man,

i think it may be:

IN. walker j.cloke shackleton mullins/mcgough/king
OUT. wakelin lokan swan o'bree

Shackleton should play this week, MM would be silly not to have a look at him before seasons end, and considering he is playing well for Willy the time is right to bring him in

walker will get a crack
j cloke to walk straight back in if right

swan has had little oppurtunity and deserves a crack at Willy
lokan is just crap
im very tempted to say ditto o'bree but i dont think he is quite at crap yet

wouldnt be surprised if king gets another crack and mullins is left in cold again

im assuming richo is no good to come in, so mckee retains position

My point is if he feels he can play 3 debutants in 1 game he sure as hell can play 2 (as I suggested), especially with our season dead and buried.

You're not angry because I didn't include BK are you?

Just out of interest what exactly does Matthew Lokan do wrong?

He's a pretty mistake free player imho. (We don't have many of those)

You are right he uses all 3 of his possesions pretty well.

Shame about his opponents 15-20.

Considering he is usually on players like McLeod, Mercuri, Power, etc I'm happy if they only get 15 possies a game.

Yeah, well Lokan may have had 2 good games this season.

He played well at Full-Forward to kick three goals against Brisbane when Tarrant left, yet he still managed to give away 3 free kicks.

He did alright on Andrew McLeod, yet Macca was there second or third best player.

Matthew Lokan is only a good Full-Forward, and nothing more, if even if he can play in that position.

If he held Luke Power, why was Luke Power so good on the weekend???

Gee, Mark Mercuri is a big opponent, at present time, Lokan did a good job to put him on the sidelines.

I see your point hoggy, Lokan is a mistake free person, only because he can't find the ball, and when he does, well... I think you know what I mean.

It would be great if Matthew Lokan could actually be considered as trade bait.

Matthew Lokan may not get many posessions, there might be a reasoning for that, but he certainly isn't an IMPACT player.

Games I reckon he did good for us (off the top of my head)...WB rd 2, BL rd 3, PA rd 6, Ad rd 9, Mel rd 12, BL rd 16.

I'd take 3 goals off a pinch hitter like him anyday.

He did alright on Andrew McLeod, yet Macca was there second or third best player.

Perhaps my point is that is why he was not their best player? 2 years in a row he has beaten A.Mc.

Matthew Lokan is only a good Full-Forward, and nothing more, if even if he can play in that position.

He's a handy full forward who has to work on his leading a bit more (leads too early because he is deceptively quick). I'd like to see him coming off a wing with the odd spell in the forward line if Rocca is doing nothing.

If he held Luke Power, why was Luke Power so good on the weekend???

Luke Power was good on the weekend, but Luke Power is a friggin superstar and only Buckley would be better than him on our list.

Gee, Mark Mercuri is a big opponent, at present time, Lokan did a good job to put him on the sidelines.

Round 22 last year. I believe his game knocked Mercuri out of playing finals.

I see your point hoggy, Lokan is a mistake free person, only because he can't find the ball, and when he does, well... I think you know what I mean.

You've got the stats, what is his efficiency, etc?

It would be great if Matthew Lokan could actually be considered as trade bait.

I agree, Lokan and Kinnear for Salopek.

Matthew Lokan may not get many posessions, there might be a reasoning for that, but he certainly isn't an IMPACT player.

Never said he was an impact player.

but he has been found out this year when the better players around him such as buckley, burns, fraser, tarrant, presti, holland have missed games through injury or suspension, and he has needed to step up and hasnt

he needed to make an impact in those games, and really he didnt he kept up his '03 form from when he had those guys firing around him, and when they werent there he didnt step up

Are we trying to out-smart the Doggies and field an ever worse team than them?
