As good as Newts is, I would rather lose him than Shaw at this point. Quality mids is not an area we lack in. Decent talls though....I think there could be truth in the rumour that we are interested in Lycett. A natural trade would be a west australian wanting to go home but feel the eagles are in greater need of an "extractor" rather than another tall forward.
As a result, newton is probably a bigger risk of seeking greener pastures.
Freo are interested,
But that's not the point. He is staying.

Can't take a trick the poor bugger, i guess he's not gonna attract much attention re coming out of contract though.Having a horror year with injury and when he did play it was at fullback. Out for another 8 weeks![]()
He'll attract plenty. KPF's will always get another go and attract interest, long pass the point a player in any other position would. Can't take a trick the poor bugger, i guess he's not gonna attract much attention re coming out of contract though.
Groin injury.
Sounds like OP to me.
I know this fellas injured but what to do with him at the end of the year? Gets injured frequently, played him in defence when he was somewhat healthy when he showed glimpses and was very close to an afl debut as a forward the year previous. So very confusing.
Being a relatively sound second pick and with the rest of the 2012 cohort showing glimpses of being afl standard; wines, clurey and colquhoun expectations should be similar with mason its just a shame he gets injured so much, may be a result of his rapid weight game in such a short period of time
