Rozee is applying great pressure in the forward line - like Jake Neade.

Unlike Jake Neade he kicks goals, takes hangers (almost) and isn't a midget.
And now we seem to have some capable assistant coaches, hopefully we won’t Portify him.

Thats was the biggest takeway i saw from him yesterday. He hunts and hunts and hunts. That pace will cause some serious issues for teams trying to exit cleanly.

We know he also has the skills to match. As he start to acclimatize to the senior game, he will just keep getting better.

I remember Wingard's first year very well. Watched him closely as one of the few positives in that terrible year. He played serviceably and solidly, showing glimpses of what could be. After another preseason, he came out and smashed it!

Rozee shows all the traits and signs of being able to follow a similar trajectory.

Good analogy. Wingard didn't set the world on fire in his first year but showed enough glimpses. I think 2019 for Rozee will be about finding his feet at the level, he's a medium term project type player.

With first year sensations more common these days, people are starting to expect too much from draftees too soon. Rozee clearly has what it takes. He's 18 ffs.

I actually feel sorry for Rankine. More eyes will be on him to succeed IMO. Now he is out with a hammy today, so a bad start to the season for him.

These top-10 are all class, let's just let them settle in and find their groove, I am sure they will provide many AA's and Brownlows over the coming years.

I was sitting right next to where that happened and at the time I couldn’t see it leave his arms.

Even in the slow motion footage you never see it come out

Love to see a longer take, because at the ground I swear the north player literally took it out of Rozees hands while he was on the ground and I was baffled why a 50 wasn’t paid when I realised they hadn’t paid the mark.

Maybe from the other angle you can see it come out but the nearest ump who didn’t call it a mark had a view from down the line where it was kicked from so if it came out there was no way he could have seen it.

Absolutely baffling

I seem to recall Wingard getting caught HTB with regularity in his first year. His confidence was telling, but he needed to adjust. Not that we should be comparing Wingard to Rozee at all.

The first ever memory of Wingard was in Round 1, 2012 against St Kilda when he gathered the ball in the saints defensive 50 ran and ran through the middle of the ground all the way into our forward line, but then absolutely shanked the kick.
