This is true. But it is equally true that some players have more question marks.

For instance, a player with no legs is likely to have more question marks in relation to his ability to run to an AFL standard than a player with two working legs. That does not mean that the other player has no question marks in relation to his legs (they could easily be burnt off in a sailing accident, for example), but there would be fewer question marks nonetheless.

No heart condition is better than heart condition, no matter how you skin it.

And the Olympic athlete with no legs I'd pass on too.

Why would a journo hide his identity if he knows shit re.. even if the info is accurate it still will be perceived as speculation anyhow.

What are journos under some sort of contract not to reveal info when it lands on their table.. what the all seeing eye has control over these journos? This was posted in the Draft Rumours thread a day or two ago. Not sure what this condition is or if it's concerned that this is what it is...

A few people in the know (not BF) have spoken about it being the same condition was only discovered in October.
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy basically hardens the walls of the heart (think hypertrophy as the goal for body builders) which can present a risk for prolonged and sustained exercise over a long period of time.
It can be a symptom of more severe tachycardias but AFAIK it's not related to that sort of condition.
Some people with severe forms will undergo surgery to have a section of their heart wall removed.

Good luck to the kid, he's a jet and the type of player you get people turning up to games to watch but some clubs have completely ruled him out.

Fogarty seems like the perfect selection in this draft, if he is available and we pass i'll be scratching my head.

As some people may know, I have somewhat of a source inside the Lions camp. Not really good for much around here but was able to get some good tidbits back during the days of the Beams and Aish trades.

Anyway, I did some digging. There's not a lot to report, seems the media has got the right word on Rayner although my source "can't believe it" - which is in reference to Rayner being a flight risk, so he thinks there's better options (Brayshaw). The other thing I found out is Ballenden has spoken to West Coast (picks 13, 21, 26, 32, 37), St Kilda (7, 8, 34), Richmond (17, 20, 25) and North Melbourne (4, 23) more extensively than others. I didn't include picks higher than 40 because Lions would definitely match, but possibly might pass if Richmond like him enough at 17. Could go either way with there being a lot of picks in the 20s held by those clubs.

Anyway, as I said, this isn't really news worthy on the pies board but for the draft watchers it might be of interest. Expect a bid from one of those clubs 20-34 sort of range, imo.

What I don't understand about Hine is this.. ok say Stephenson right.. if he is willing to pick him up at 6.. then that would put him in the category of a Peter Matera type of player.. to excel like a Peter Matera has is not at all friggen easy. It's that type of position.. given its pick 6.. I wouldn't expect anything less from Stephenson. If Hine with his pick 6 doesn't understand that that puts Stephenson in the Matera class.. then than pick is better used elsewhere.. don't go for what we need in that spot if it ain't worth friggen pick 6 mate.. ffs
