Would love to get him. Will be a very good player and a very safe option.

I agree, but more as a fall back position if others are off the board. Still prefer guys that have a point of difference/game changers/versatility

But you wouldn't say no to a Neale type player

Hmmmm.... Maybe. Not sure I have the time for a while. Takes a solid few hours of work from go to woah. Send me a link in PM to a game and I'll see what I can do over the next week.

Superstar ferrisb has agreed to to buy you a slab of your poison of choice

Still say it’s worth taking a chance on Bennell on a one year prove it contract.
Yeah the upside is huge, unfortunately the downside is also huge, if as I’ve heard they have managed to fix his recurring calf injuries then absolutely worth a rookie spot as he is 1 that has elite talent and then some, only thing would be is he a risk in terms of our current outstanding culture.

Dylan Stephens at 9, trade next years 1st round for around 15 and 25 back if Weightman is available at 15 and take Dylan Williams at 25, Add those 3 on top of Martin and Betts and we'll have the most dangerous team in finals once we get there, Xfactor alllllllll over them.

Really is the forgotten player in this years draft.

If SOS sees someone he really likes sliding, I hope he uses either our future second or third round selections to jump back into the draft.

Like the sound of Robertson and happy to take him with pick 9.
But for the sake of the discussion, let’s say he’s gone before then.
Fremantle have pick 10 and Hawthorn pick 11.
Both have players expected to be around that mark, Henry for Fremantle and Maginness for Hawthorn.
I’m sure Silvagni could indicate to both clubs that we are intending to take their player with our pick 9 which would force them to match the bid and miss out on taking another player with their respective picks 10 & 11 before paying for a matched bid on their players with later picks.
Basically, we could say to both clubs, we’ll trade our pick 9 to you for your pick 10 or 11, but whoever throws in the best sweetener gets the deal whilst the other club loses the chance and will be forced to match the bid on their player with their pick 10 or 11.
For example :
Fremantle offer pick 10 and a 3rd rounder
Hawthorn offer pick 11 and a 2nd rounder
We accept Hawthorn’s offer and basically pick up a 2nd rounder for free.
That 2nd rounder could even be a future 2nd rounder that could help us land targeted players in the trade period next year.
Suddenly, the game is on and we might be able to make a very good hand of the cards we hold.
Then we add Martin for free in the PSD and we’re loaded with picks and cash for another crack at Papley next year ...

I'm hoping we bid Henry and Maginnes just to stuff up Freo and the Hawks.

I'll like us to pick Kemp, Serong or Weightman with pick 9 but would like to seeus trade back into the 2nd round maybe Adelaide will trade pick 23. There are some good small forwards in the 2nd round of this draft like Taylor, Williams, Taheny or Bergman.
I'll be happy to get Weightman and Taylor.

I also think we should look at Jackson as most top teams have 2 big tall forwards and I don't think McGovern or C Curnow could play that roll with McKay but I still like De Koning as a tall forward not a ruckman

If we keep pick 9 and don't on trade to GC do we grab a small forward and maybe use 2 other later picks on mids, ruck and hbf? How many picks would we use on the DFA and mature aged players to fill our remaining 4 or 5 spots? Martin and Newnes will help but I am sure we are eyeing out other delisted talent? Anybody know what else big SOS is bringing in for depth?

Not taking anything away from the great man but Bradley and McKay would be a little disappointed with that statement.
