No doubt they'd ask for Byron for Byron trade. I wouldn't be interested if that was the deal.

Rumours also that Medders is fielding interest from at least one of the Adelaide clubs... hmmm... this could be interesting.

For the record - I'd rather Medders than Pickett. Medders may be everything "they" say he is with regards to selfish, lazy etc, etc (not saying I necessarily agree), but Byron is a loose cannon. But I do like Pickett - we could undoubtedly do with his aggression... but at what price??

but isnt it a case of make a trade that freo will go for or run the risk of doing a nick stevens all over again...

we all no that Freo are not going to make a Byron for Byron trade but maybe Byron for Dion or something along those lines...

How about Byron for Matthew (of the pavilch kind)
 
No way should Freo draft Pickett, he is a loose cannon spent most of the year either injured or suspended. Has already played his best football that is why Port are only offering him peanuts.
 
If he was acquired very cheaply he'd be worthwhile since he could be suspended more often than he played.

But geez it gets you excited thinking of him in purple for the derbys. It'll scare the ********s outta the prettyboys. :D

Thats right, I'm not willing to mortgage the back shed let alone the house for him. But if he's cheap, Byron would be very handy.

How about a swap for Schofield?? ;)
 
so none of you think that he could give us 3 HARD years...

at the end of those three years maybe some of the others might have learned something about not being bitchs and going in hard for the ball
 
Byron for Byron is out of the question obviously.
But Medhurst for Pickett I would definitely consider, he will add toughness and pace in the midfield and lets face it guys our window for success is really the next 3-5 years.
If Pickett only has 3-5 years in him its irelevant.

I'd want a 2nd round/late 3rd round draft pick as well.

Farmer & Pickett in the forward line. Now will that be something to see. Few opposition boys will looking over the shoulders.
 
Port would expect more then a straight Medhurst-Pickett swap. I hope this trade does not eventuate,Medhurst is a lazy arrogant player which i would not want at our team.

You are kidding aren't you? Pickett is 28 and doesn't have a whole lot of value. Medhurst doesn't either, but is much younger, and would be worth more than PIckett in a trade.

In saying that, i'd take Pickett in a second. We need blokes like that, even if they get rubbed out a couple of times a year. The concern would be CC getting his hands on him and turning him into a soft outside receiver.

No im not kidding, the difference between the two is that Pickett is an all australian norm smith tough player and Medhurst is a squib.
