A switched on Pickett would walk into any team in the league. However, if port and the roos couldn't keep Pickett focused on the game I wouldn't fancy our chances of keeping his head straight.

If Freo are willing to trade Medhurst they must reckon Crowley can take his spot (which I'd agree with).

Pickett as an interchange player for the Dockers for the next 2-3 years would be fantastic. Let's face it, Medhurst looked out of sorts when Pavlich and McPharlin were moved up into the forward line, didnt know what he was doing.

Very dangerous forward line.

I'd be happy to trade him for Medhurst. Perrie, Pickett and Hay have all been linked with the club and of the 3 I'd prefer Byron, especially considering he would probably be the cheapest at the trade table.
 
For all those who live comfortably in dreamland, have you ever considered why Pickett was dropped this year and why Port have slashed his salary?
So why would we want to pay him more?
And what value is there in drafting an older player who has limited long term benefit into a young team whereby someone like Peake or Schammer may miss out?
We've done that before for no value.
Forget the quick fix????
Do the yards and develop our own.
 
looks like medhurst will re-sign in the next couple of days so there goes that option

Port got Pickett for pick 15 so if we go by that then currently he would be worth a 2nd rd pick

Not neccessarily. As I see it that just means that for a trade to take place the new club would have to meet the conditions agreed to by Freo, or better them.

Apparently Dodd is close to putting pen to paper... Cookie will - no doubt. Roger... well considering he's been unsighted at AFL level this year, there probably wouldn't be too much interest in him outside of Freo... so I reckon he will sign too.

Woodsie won't be offered a new contract you wouldn't think; nor Smithy. The club has given plenty of support to Luke Webster, elevating him after his 3rd bung knee, but he really didn't grab his opportunity when he was picked in the first 22 early in the year... then was injured again. I reckon it's bye-bye Lukey also... :o

There's 3 of the 6 right there.

Only need 5 if Macca goes on the Vets list and Crowls stays on the rookie list (for now) if we promote Duff & Warren.

Interesting times ahead.

Daniel Haines has apparently been given his bye-byes. So that's 4.

And I'm pretty sure Dr Ralph, that Dessie is signed till 2006. But not 100% sure.
