A win's a win. Disappointing not to build percentage but it was going to be a tall order with injuries to Richards, English, Jones and Lobb, while McNeil had already played in the VFL before having to run out for the seniors.

"Take the four points and move on to next week."


Carryover teams and Pieman substitutes
The bye seems to have caused a few to forget to lodge their teams. We had 10 carryover teams this week, the most of any round so far.

The late withdrawal of Richards meant we needed 9 Pieman substitutes. Only one of them did any good. Freijah was the first in line and he slotted into the teams of

After applying the Pieman subs these were the most popular picks. Only two players going unloved. Richards had some fans but was a late scratching.




The KELVIN
We had one Chump and one Mini-Chump this week. weltschmerz (196) had just enough base points to win the Kelvin but the Chump bonus was worth 45 points to give her a very comfortable margin over Zeno The Great (150). Third in the Kelvin was _Cerberus_ (132) whose mini-chump (worth 12 pts) helped him stay clear of the bunch. There were only 10 points separating 4th and 10th.



The PIEMAN
No change at the top. lateniter retains a comfortable lead but quite a few made ground on him. The best of them is fargy who moved up from 6th to second place, 70 points behind the leader. RandomDog retains third spot just ahead of this week's Kelvin quinella who are tied for fourth.


NB: BulldogMuscle actually got 29 points - this was later corrected in the Round 5 table.

Pieman Player of the Week
The luckless Arty Jones is Player of the Week with his 3 goals giving him 57 points before he had to come off injured. Here's hoping it was only a minor tweak to his hamstring.

New Arrangements After Gather Round

As mentioned at the start of the season I'm going to be away for two months from mid-April. I will be off grid some of that time so next week is the last normal Pieman week until after mid-season. I've had a couple of offers of help in my absence.

I'm grateful for those offers but have decided just to roll with a semi-fixed handicap list. That is, I will publish handicaps for all 42 players on Sunday or Monday next week. Those handicaps will apply until late-June when I return unless I manage to change some of them in the interim. I will get the chance to do that from time to time but I'm afraid it will just be from my phone so it won't be a nicely formatted list.

Results for Rounds 6 to 15 will be posted after I get back. There's a slight chance I'll be back sooner but don't count on it.
