Carlton were always going to bounce back after being reamed publicly and internally this week, it was inevitable. Carlton threw absolutely everything at what is a big time traditional grudge match, the players would have been crucified if they didn't. Still, Carlton fell short, CFC would have capitulated last year.

Btw, how good was that handpass from Pendles in the last quarter???

It was the single greatest play of the day and not one of those knucklehead commentators even mentioned it.

Not surprising. No one notices what Pendles does. Just take him for granted.

Not an exciting win but given the ovrall result I'll take it. The week back from the bye is often problematic so it's good to get it over with. Looking foreward to getting a couple off the injury list. It may sound odd but I really want Moore to have a good run towards the finals and consolidate an important role in the team in the process.
This doesn't sound odd to me!!

It was other world stuff. I don't think there's anyone else in the league that could have done that and had that vision/skill.

Some delusional folk on the radio saying today’s game was enjoyable. It shows how far they’ve fallen to confuse a non thrashing and effort with ugly defensive footy.

Glad We Won but less be Honest we where Terrible and IF we played anyone else we been Flogged Today
I don't agree with that. Carlton made us play like that through their game plan. It was like Bolton had watched a team park the bus at the World Cup to protect a lead with 5 minutes to go and figured it would be fun to try and do that for an entire game of AFL.

We have an amazing team that encapsulates the Collingwood spirit. A coach that is coming of age and as a player gave everything to the Collingwood cause.

But what we lack right now is a spirit at the game. It was embarrassing tonight. I have always backed Eddie, but why doesn’t he have a supporter in every block of seats pumping up the Collingwood supporters.

Maybe but we made Carlton look like better then they are
That’s how they play. Extreme defensive today.

We had 10 more scoring shots do a bit more accurate would have helped.

When we play terrible its hard to get Excited.

Eddie part of the Problem

While I liked the Daisy’s a w***er chant and booing today what was better is the louder the boos got the more Thomas turned it over. Clearly the crowd got in his head.

I know the TV/Radio commentators are comparing Carlton to their game last week and that's why they talking their game today up.

But they kicked less than their average score for the season today (it was 63 coming into today) and they had 37 inside 50s. It almost feels like a step back to the 2016 Carlton team given they were supposed to be learning a more offensive style of football this year.

Their obsession with us is a sign of how kinked and backward their club is. Imagine pinching Pies disgruntled ex-coach, players and obsessing around 2 games they play against us a year.

The one thing that was made clear to me today is that we need Darcy Moore down back as soon as possible. Got towelled up by TMac last week and Curnow could have had a huge game if he was playing in a better team.
Yep, whether it be Moore or Reid we’re lacking one taller defender. The extension of that inclusion (for Appleby or Greenwood) is that Scharenberg and Howe slide across to a lesser forward target meaning they can more readily peel off to intercept and go third up.
