It doesn't bother me, I don't feel as if many people would take his comments too seriously. Having said that, he must understand his new role as compared with his old one, even if that means giving up voicing his opinions whenever he pleases.

You could have if your boards of the late 1990's weren't constantly infighting between each other and actually concentrated on running your football club.

Most of our fans hate the fact that we play in Tassie, would give it all a way if we could get a better MCG stadium deal.

The Tasmanian deal isn't one and all the same with the distribution, if it was why then do clubs like North, Bulldogs and even Melbourne 'sell games interstate' and still get big money from the ASD?

We all need to look a bit deeper and look at his motivation behind doing and saying certain things. Let's look at the inner workings of Jeff's cavernous mind ...

His association with Beyond Blue?: 'I need to give the perception that I'm doing something for society, which helps legitimise any time I offend and alienate people'.

His comments about Ken Campagnolo? 'Here's a tiny window of opportunity to legitimately express my rampant homophobia'. (Although a smarter person might think that comparing homosexuals to paedophiles is going too far - as well as the admission that you're not saying it to protect players, but because you don't want to get sued. Well sue his arse off, Ken!)

Why has he got a relentless campaign to get rid of MFC? 'I want Hawthorn to corner the growing Outer Eastern suburbs market without lifting a finger. If MFC move into this market, I might actually have to get off my quoit and do something'.

And so it goes, on and on.

Which can lead to some possible conclusions.

a) He is a typical narcissist who can never admit he is wrong.
