Garlett won't happen. Jobe said no to him last season, and apparently his attitude change hasn't been as big as reported, so I can't see Jobe suddenly changing his mind

Change has been pretty significant, it's just that the microscope has been turned up on him and what would largely go unnoticed in other kids isn't with him.

That does also speak of his down side though, in not being smart enough to realise that he can't get away with a lot of what other potential draftees are able to.

I've seen posters say that he hasn't changed at all, and the media just haven't seen it. Until Disco Dodoro calls his name out on draft day I'm not going to be convinced we'll get him

To be fair, posters say all sorts of things, and for every post that is spot on, there are dozens more that are way off the mark.

Personally, I think he is worth the risk, but I agree that Dodoro could well have ruled him out long before now. While I'd like to get him, nothing suggests to me that we will.

The thought has crossed both of their minds about the prospect of Zach joining Essendon, and Jackson spoke to list manager Adrian Dodoro and recruiter Merv Keane every day last week about the chances of them choosing his younger brother at pick 26.

Had a quick look through this article on the afl website. I'm fairly ignorant of everything involving the draft, but how does Zach rate? And think it's pretty funny that Jackson is in Dodo's ear about his brother.

He'll likely go between 20 and 35, so well within our range.

Zach is shorter but a seriously good kick, both outside-ish receivers though

Know stuff all about this years draft but sounds like he has good upside with athleticism and blitzing the decision making test at DC. What struck me about Jackson in a couple of games was how clean his hands were under pressure makes a big difference in creating goals compared to some of the perennial fumblers we have had.

Reckon we might be done for these outside-ish types. Short of clear cut best available we should really be looking at inside mids and KPPs/rucks/maybe half forward.

Very definitive.

Ben Brown ?

Without a doubt.

Ben Brown

old enough to step in and play AFL (if required) whilst still having enough 'upside' in him? tick
able to play forward at AFL level (if required)? tick
able to play ruck at AFL level (if absolutely required)? tick

Three areas we essentially need to address and he fills all of them.

Thoughts on Apeness and Nankervis?

Sikora is a glorified Max Bailey, rookie at best. Brown would be better, but would obviously require using a higher pick. looks decent value at 55
