Understandably there has not been a lot of interest in voting in the MVP thread so I thought maybe people might have more ideas on appropriate punishments for our players to make sure they are sorry for their pathetic effort.

A couple spring straight to mind for me:

Eddie - has to wear regular shorts this week and a sun visor to make it difficult for him to check himself out on the big screens
Gibbsy - no hair products or hair dryer
Army - Friday lunch with The General (maybe Yazza should have to dine with me)
Jeffy - has to wear the old Ron Barrassi plastic football boots
Kreuze - has to address the President's Lunch
Brock - no twitter (I think he is already off it but a small penalty seems appropriate for him)
Levi - to wear a Just Jeans sandwich-board at training (to straighten him up)
Juddy - his home's yellow recycling bin confiscated

Improvements, others ..........

^^^^^^
I like that too and maybe all players to sprinkle a spoon of blood and bone on their Weet Bix (not so much for growth but toughness)

Every loss the blues have Ratten is held as the scape goat.

Too many times this season the blues have not turned up to play, read Essendon (round 4), St Kilda, Port, Hawks & now the Gold Coast. Add the Giants and Melbourne games where we got away with playing one quarter of footy.

As a player Ratten always had a go but he can not get the same effort from this players. Is it his fault? Probably not but he will pay the price in about week for this bunch of mentally soft players with low levels of self satisfaction (couple of obvious exceptions).

If Ratten has a fault he is too loyal. Russell, Bower, Hampson, Joseph, Thornton are not AFL level players but he kept playing them.

The player I think that has let him down the most is Gibbs. He wants it all too easy, when we are winning he gets plenty of cheap easy stats across half back. However he NEVER stands up when we are losing to change the game.

Wow. We been watching the same year? If anything Thornton is an AFL level player who has not been given games he should of been.

Coach - nice try at humour. :thumbsu:

I think it is past that time for the Club and its supporters. Yesterday was a low not expected to be seen - well maybe should have known better - after Port Adelaide....

Gimme another Bell for midfield, and gimme some talls back on the paddock again.,,back AND front.

we look liek a bunch of short people - even against SUNS - FFS!

I want them all to shave their heads, and never smirk in public.
The group punishment is that they should have to watch a Ross Lyon-coached team play football.

What was said about Gibbs..l reminds me of harsh words lethal and malthouse have been saying about Goddard.. Was swinging towards keeping ratts but I think even though ratts has tried to eliminate the buddy buddy relationships he has with some players we need a guy to come in to shake these guys up and mentally harden their on field approach.

I have not got to the recorder to watch it yet (only followed it on this board with other diehards) but nothing was going to shock me about this team (even though I mistakenly told friends that the Freo game was the most important to us this weekend).
I have not had the high opinion of this team that many held. It is no secret that I like a punt and although it has to do with teams against us sometimes being ridiculous odds - it says something about our team however (and maybe me) that I took some of the $13 Adelaide over 60pts back in round 8.
I could be scathing about a few on our list but what is the point - I guess jokes don't go down well at funerals :(

Yep..Gibbs is a good player..but seeing him backchat Ratten like that last night made me ropable....could not believe it. Hope he gets dragged over the coals for it

Would appreciate it if anyone could post a link to the incident. Tried googling it but somehow ended up at a pr0n site.

I realise that this is a lighthearted thread, but i'd make the players train next week, even though their year is over.
To put up that insipid performance they did last night should not be tolerated.

Well, they are full-time professional athletes, who, judging by last night's standards, are grossly overpaid.
They should be training every week. My job doesn't give me an eight week overseas holiday. The least they could do is keep their fitness up.

Levi - have jumper leads attached to his nipples to try and negatively reinforce him with a charge for each miss
Judd- twiggy has to burn the red dress in an unenvironmentally friendly manner
Murph - everyone at the club has to comment on him being a shortarse all week
Gibbs- has to drink Adelaide water all preseason to toughen up
Kreuzer - cant use pimple cream for a month
White - no making out with ratts

I am positive you have outdone me - wanted to use Twigs and red dress (dam) and Adelaide water so much better/worse ;)

Was the negative and battery charging intentional
