Players you are surprised are still on an AFL list

That complete and utterly useless 7 ft yank that played tonight

He marks 1 out of every 10 balls that come directly to him.

Adds nothing. Does nothing.

Mind boggling
Mason Cox

Games 122
Marks 452
Goals 120
Finals 12
Premierships 1

A decent career from a player who didn’t grow up playing the game. I think you need a new target, as Mason is OK

No giant of a player has dropped more marks. Courtney Johns or Jack from Melbourne maybe.

Lack of potential.

So when he grew up living in the USA not knowing our game existed…. what potential did he have? Absolute zero.
Pick another target, this is going nowhere.
Yeah nah…he’s lucky to be still on a League list and you know it.
Only the Carringbush want him still around. He adds some slight value to the team, but let’s face it..his marking skills are atrocious. Considering how long he’s been playing the game now, he should be clunking every grab.

But he doesn’t. He has hands of wet soap.

Aaron Sandilands averaged 3.5 marks a game over 271 games. Cox averages 3.7.

Ollie Wines. He's just invisible despite still being an ok player. Always gets a random possession in the 4th quarter and I realise he's been playing the whole game
You're surprised a 29 year old who won a Brownlow two seasons ago is still on an AFL list? Not sure you're quite grasping this thread.

"He adds slight value to the premiership team"

So why are you in this thread?

Liam Shiels still getting games at Norf

Who clunks every grab?
Funnily enough, this season his numbers are comparable to Sam Draper. Must be questionable why he is still on a list. At least Cox averages double the amount of contested marks than Draper.

Would of been awesome during his teenage years..

Yer Mason Cox just like Pyke had a great career especially from a international rookie!

Doesnt belong in this thread.

I think if Hawkins plays beyond this season he will be added to this thread in 2025.
Like Plugga, don’t rule him out for cameos in his twilight games.

Both have massive legs. Depends how stiff Hawkins is feeling.

If he can’t sprint, it’s time to go. He’s ****ed.

Big men eventually breakdown and pain sets in.

Why did the Swans retain Sam Reid when it was obvious the was going to break down again?

His last game was selfishly playing in the 2022 grand final when, you guessed it, he was injured.

Absolute ghost of what he was in his first year

Should give it away and stick to skateboarding

Why would he? He’s on a long term contract north of $500k a year. And Clarkos got him mentoring some of the younger kids on the list. He’s setting himself up for life.
