Schools to have produced both an AFL and NRL player

Surely one of the schools in or around Wagga would have
Yeah, was thinking this was going to be about Wagga. There must a few schools in Wagga that have produced the AFL, NRL and international Cricketer trifecta

Any with NRL AFL and Australian cricket?
If Barker College upthread qualifies for the AFL part they had Peter Taylor go there for cricket. (edit - and Alyssa Healy, dunno how she slipped by).

Thought Shore would get all three with a few cricketers, a ton of Wallabies and LRT and Henry Playfair for AFL but it doesn't look like any of the rugby types decided to cross over to NRL.

Yeah, I’d more surprised if Wagga high or Mount Austin didn’t. I’m trying to see if I can find a notable alumni list.

I mean it depends what you mean by “produced”, when you’re a private school that simply buys dozens of the best child athletes as part of your **** measuring process, then it’s to be expected that many of them will go on to be professionals.
Absolutely, it’s pretty grotesque, but even taking that on board, some of these rugby schools producing even one senior-standard AFL player is noteworthy. Rugby is a massive part of their identities, and other football codes are very much viewed with suspicion.

that's the same with rugby in WA - Aquinas ended up having to merge with another school (a few years ago) just to get a union team together

Just found out that Hallam Secondry college in Melbourne has produced both AFL and NRL players. Wonder if it's the only Victorian School to have done so

Temora High almost certainly would have.

Luke Breust went to school there.

The likes of Trent Barrett, Steve Reardon, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Zac Lomax, Angus Crichton, Brett Firman and heaps of others are from or spent considerable time in their youth in Temora and it’s not a big place so I’m guessing they probably all were a huge chance of having been schooled there.

Edit: i can pretty safely say it has - Steve Reardon is even still working there

Alex Davies and Charlie Dixon attended Cairns State High School, as did Heilum Luki (North Queensland Cowboys). It's possible that there are other alumni who went on to become NRL players too.
