Last time we played at The G it was bad, bad times. The trumpet guys outside the ground after the game were playing the Saints song like a slow funeral march. My head was hung in shame for the next two weeks or so.

Will Roscoe and the lads be able to enjoy the lush grass of the MCG like we do of the Dome?

We have round 22 there before we start the big dance - that should give some indication.

I need everyone’s thoughts on what the Saints may do to make sure we can play well and win at the MCG because in the end that is the only ground that matters.

it's ridiculous that we play once at the G in the H&A.

Anyway, playing at Subi & Aurora may help in getting some idea to what to expect prior to rd 22

As West Coast keeps proving, playing at Subi doesn't prepare you for anything, other than getting whipped.

The dimensions of AAMI are also rather close to what the MCG are (something like 177x142 v 172x149 or something to that effect) so it's not so much a burden as it is the conditions at the time and the competition faced on the day.

Yes I'd like to have more than 1 game at the MCG simply because we are severly lacking in that area compared to every single other club. But it's a non issue as far as finals go, if we lose it'llbe because we're not good enough as oppsoed to the grounds being too large small or what have you.

Yep, it shouldn't determine whether we win or lose, but as we are playing the boundary lines when attacking it may have some bearing on the team's preparation. If it is a consideration, it would be something addressed for this week's game as well.

Just the one H&A game also gives me minimal chance to use the MCC during the year.
:(

My brother.

It's not an ideal situation as just like bubblegoosey I'm also an MCC man.

However consider this.

MCG will provide more space for Riewoldt, Kosi.

If we continue to force teams wide as we have been. It'll take extra possessions to get the pill inside 50 simply based on more ground to cover.

The game against Melbourne will be handy given it's Rnd 22, so we can implement things straight away come finals. Rossy has shown us that adjustments are able to be made after a quarter and this has resulted in drastic turnarounds in scoring.

Don't buy into this rubbish that we can't play at the MCG brothers. We smashed Collingwood in a final there last year and Geelong smashed us by a near similar margin in the QF last year as they did at the Dome earlier in the year.

Don't laugh Krusden, from my seat at the Cats game, we could see that something had happened to someone up high in level three. Couldn't see much but you could see CPR going on for around 15 minutes before they carried someone out.

R.I.P Nexus Helen.

Beating the Cats was just too much for him/her.

At least our one game there is round 22. It will give us a perfect opportunity to have a test run before finals, even if it is against Melbourne.

Three wins at the MCG in a row sounds like the perfect preparation for a GF to me.

Krusden, my old man missed the Geelong game for the same reason, after some hospital time on the preceeding Friday night - hopefully he'll be right for Adelaide.
