Entirely up to you, but having had a cheap, resistance-based wheel before, they don't really add to your experience and you'll probably end up going back to the controller. Once you get in to the world of G29's and T300's with Force Feedback, that's a whole new world of gaming...

That one?

Time for PS6 speculation?

I've never been a fan of this source (Moore's Law is dead), throws a lot of darts and sometimes gets a hit, but he's reporting late 2027 to early 2028 release (I mean we could have all expected that) but with some tidy hardware. You'd hope RAM prices come down in the next 18 months though because 30gb of GDDR7 could push this well and truly over $1200 lol

You’d think the PS6 at launch would be more expensive than the PS5 Pro at launch, which was $1200 in Australia. Yeah, we are pretty well ****ed.

The Pro was priced as a Pro though so I think the PS6 will be cheaper but not as cheap as the base PS5. Unless Microsoft have another console up their sleeve then the rumoured Xbox next year is a Windows based machine like the handhelds and a competitor to the Steam machine. Usually Sony would have to spec the base console to a price to compete but they won't have that same restriction though they still have to price it at something realistic because at the end of the day they rely on game sales to subsidise the hardware, and if nobody buys the hardware then it's an even bigger loss. That lack of floor price competition I think though is why these leaked specs look so good. They can beef up the base console a bit more because they know they'll be able to sell it for a little more than the PS5. Hopefully the AI bubble bursts or at least deflates a little by then though because right now prices are stupid.

And just like that, already "news" about it being pushed back due to memory availability/pricing

Looks like Sony are going to stop putting their single player AAA games on PC now.

I assume they're trying to hoover up Xbox by denying them the ability to play PS games in the next Windows based Xbox players because it has been proven many times over that PC players aren't buying consoles to play exclusives. Someone from Sony somewhere once said (I'm sure I could find the exact quote on Google) that console owners has plateaued so I can't think of any other reason why if this were the case they'd decide to shut out an entire platform of software sales. If they're lamenting low PC game sales then that's because they release them so long after and the hype is gone (and again, PC players aren't buying a console to play one or two games a year), where as if they released them the same day as console then I'm sure they'd make a lot more money.

I recon it’s a calculated call to give a better value proposition to PC players to pick up a PS5 or Pro even for GTA6. Now it’ll be 3-4 Sony exclusives plus GTA6 on launch if you grab a console. Might talk a few more into it and they can always revert back to the old model if it pays more in the future.

Rockstar would need to rule GTA6 out of ever going to PC because currently most PC gamers are content to wait like they did for 5 and RDR2. Some will no doubt but you have to remember PC gamers are a different species. They are reluctant to even pay full price for a new release game and will wait for a discount. They aren't going to buy a console for a few games.

Just personally the only Sony game I've been keen on is Ghost of Yotei but that interest has been less the longer it takes to get news of (if there even will be now) a PC port. When it eventually releases I will probably just wishlist it and wait for a sale like I did for Spidey 2 and TLOU2. Where as if it were on Steam day one I'd have bought into the hype and paid full price.

I’ll either be going PC or the new Xbox/PC hybrid next gen, not many PS exclusives to make me want to get a PS5 or PS6. The Spider-Man’s are good, I’ve played GOT, GOW’s, TLOU’s, all available on PC.

Will see what Sony has in regards to exclusives in the coming years.

Yep,
After spending 5k on their rigs, probably can’t afford full price games.

I know this is a bit tongue in cheek (5k is on the higher end, typically a mid range and most common type of build should still be a bit under 3k) but it's something I've never understood about the PC community. They'll drop the price of a console on an upgrade but won't pay new release prices for games. They also revolted against the requirement to have a PS account for PS games on PC forcing Sony to change it, and many won't buy anything from a store front that isn't Steam which forced EA and Ubisoft to bring their games back to Steam after a brief period of pulling them off from there. PC gamers are stubborn. Most aren't buying a console for a handful of exclusives besides the gamers who already buy every console.
