Had Dead Space 3 on the PC as part of the Humble Bundle but never got it working and it'd probably run like garbage if it did, so I'm happy with this. Doki Doki Universe is cross-buy too, meaning PS3 and PS4 users will be able to play this one.

If I saw Towerfall Ascension, Strider and Doki Doku Universe in the 80s, I'd be pretty impressed.

You're right, you would. Because it would have been new back then. In 2014, I don't want to play those games. If I did, id go buy a commodore 64. I understand there is no Ps4 games out to chuck on ps+ yet but **** me we are getting shit.

None really, have no hopes. I couldn't care less about indy games but surely there is better games than the crap we have got so far. I despise resogun, but that is the best thing we've got other than Trine.

Give me Valiant Hearts, Transistor, Child of light. No idea what these games are other than the first, but all look good and much better than the shit we've been served up that would take 1 day to make. Its the type of shit I expect from a Ludum Dare contest.

How ****ing boring. You need other people to play as the quest mode just looks shit as well.

It's anything but boring. The mechanics are simple to learn and hard to master. The MP plays like Super Smash Bros. and has a TON of customisability.

The single player quest mode is very tough but offers plenty of fun in learning the mechanics and overcoming the challenges as it gets tougher and tougher. The mechanics, speed and overall feel are what make the game fun.

Not even gonna waste my downloads on this one. Have tried all the others but not going to bother this time.

Edit: Maybe I would have if there was online MP. But useless for a SP.

Just sussed out some videos for next months offerings.....

Looks like I'm saving my downloads next month, awful games everywhere. PS3 wins by a massive amount just for having Dead Space 3, which isn't all that good anyway (it's decent if you don't compare it to the first 2) Vita you can excuse because that's running out of retail games to give away, I gave up the Vita freebies by using my new PSN on it as I physically own all the decent titles already.

My problem isn't with Indies, I'm not expecting retail stuff until at least the 1 year PS4 anniversary but Flower, Entwined, AC Freedom Cry, Octodad, Daylight, Valiant Hearts, Sound Shapes and FEZ are all much better options than the crap PS4 offerings for July. Even Outlast Whistleblower DLC for those that got Outlast a few months back. A real shame as this month was pretty good with Trine 2 and Pixeljunk Shooter after the couple of shit months prior (Stick it To The Man and Mercenary Kings) its the inconsistent quality of titles that annoy me.

Can't blame Sony for taking advantage though, everyone needs PS+ to play online now, sort of takes away the need to offer an incentive (good games) to sign up. The PS+ draw card for me from it's inception was always about being able to play stuff i was on the fence about getting or had missed, every month was like Xmas, now it just feels like i need + to play online with some throwaway indie samples on the side.

Marvel Lego, Thief, Trials Fusion and 2K14 the only retail stuff that would get my attention anyway, own all the good stuff already.

Bought Towerfall Ascension for $20 early this month after finding out it wasn't going to be available in June.

I'm pretty mad now.

Was a weird design choice not to include online MP, that kills it for me as it would be a blast with the bigfooty blokes.

Joys of having non gaming mates and casual gaming brothers who only play the AAA fancy graphic stuff :( vale local MP for me.

edit: having said that though , I'm sure we'll start to see some better stuff as the library grows. Hopefully anyway.

I'm lucky that I have a few mates that will get together for beers and play local multiplayer so Towerfall has some value to me. They also don't really play online bar Borderlands 2 which I am so done with.

I agree it would have been a blast with the bigfooty crew. Ideally that would be something they would patch through.
