Sony always wants people to pre order ...oh there will be no ps4's left at Xmas if you don't pre order ...blah blah blah

All of a sudden there siting on thier shelves ....remember Sony is a very powerful marketing machine

They create hysteria from the whole pre order thing .....

T300 RS or G29?

Keep in mind Harvey norman are currently selling the G29 for 398 with a bonus shifter. The G29 is leather as opposed to the rubber on the T300 and is also 3 pedals.

I can get a T300 RS for 400 + 20 shipping from The Games men but I have never used them before

What is the better wheel though?

Edit: Ended up buying the G29. After spending the last hour reading reviews the general consensus seems to be the pedals suck balls on the 300RS and I don't want to spend more money on better pedals. The FFB is better on the 300RS because its belt driven rather than cog but I don't think I will be anywhere near good enough to really feel the difference. Plus I really want that gear shifter as I want to drive with a clutch rather than the paddles

Each have their positives and negatives.

G29: Is the shifter important to you? Whenever I've used one, I use it a few times, then realize its faster using the paddles and never look back. Pedals are better than default t300. FFB on wheel is ok. Also has more buttons on the wheel for on the fly adjustments.

T300: FFB on wheel is at another level to g29 and much smoother. Also has a mode button to change the full lock rotation independent of the game. As above, pedals aren't as good as g29, but once you get used to them, they're fine. You can also upgrade pedals to the pro's at a later date if you feel the need to blow more cash on pretend race cars

When the t300 was at ~$600 and you could get the g29 for <$400, I prob would have said save the money and grab the g29. But for $420, I think I would have to say grab the thrustmaster. Gamesmen are fine, they sponsor the racingonoz site and heaps of guys from there have used them to get gear.

This is a key thing here too, I really don't want to spend any more money on it. Its already as much as the console itself Now I just need a stand.

YEah I think that is the one, or similar at least to the one I am looking at. JB sell em for 300 but I will look for cheaper. The added bonus is the JB can can be upgraded to the full cockpit version if I ever desired.

If you want to spend a bit extra, then the pagnian wheel stands are meant to be awesome and the cockpit rigs that you can build later would be on another level to the GT Art

No issues with height or movement. Its adjustable enough and is actually quite heavy, so it doesn't move. I grab a dining chair though, I'd have to sit right on the edge of my couch to use it, which would play havoc with my back

Excellent. Just went and picked up the wheel. Told my wife I wouldn't even open it until I had the VR, but probably not until we move in November...Now I have it I want to use it

You won't be able to resist. What game you using it on? Just Driveclub? F1 2016 and Project Cars feel awesome.

The day I got my wheel, work just happened to be throwing out an old desk that had been sitting in a storeroom. It worked quite nicely until my stand arrived.

Driveclub is the main one. I'll pick up GT when that gets released in 15 years and F1 will no doubt get a workout. Wish I could use it on Xbox so I could play Forza
