I have been with my current employer for well over 5 years. I am 99% sure i have landed a new job, should know 100% tomorrow. This will be only my 2nd job. I will be a salaried manager as i am now. When i first entered the workforce it was a entry leveled position(if that makes sense).

My question is before i give notice to my employer is there a contract i need to sign or do you just take the word of the company that they are hiring you. Im not very experienced as you can tell as its only my 2nd ever job.

Thanks

Bit late but a verbal contract should be enough. Once you verbally agree with them, they'll start writing up the contract.

I've recently resigned and start my new job on 12 June, so I've just been thru this process myself.

What did you finish up doing?

i'd be getting a contract

and depending on your current employer - they make make you work a few weeks after your resignation (or you can lose benefits).

So i would wait until i get something in writing...but thats just me
