I like the Who and have most of their albums, and saw them live in Dublin. But I could walk past Pete Townshend in the street and not recognise him. Awesome guitarist.

Without resorting to Google I have no idea what he looks like now or even when he was younger.

Yes Oscar was orange. I have posted something on page 7 of this thread relating to this.

As has been mentioned, it is Pete Townshend in the DP. I was originally looking for a picture of Spike Milligan in Google Images but the pictures of him I liked ended up becoming distorted when I copied them into the DP.

The 'blue marble' photograph of the Earth was taken December 1972 from the Apollo 17 spacecraft, from an altitude of about 45,000 kms.
This was the photo's original orientation, with Africa 'upsidedown' and Antarctica at the top.



However, in order to fit the traditional view of the Northern hemisphere being the top of the world, NASA flipped the original image 180 degrees and the public were left to view the now famous image.


Incidentally, although many full shots of the Earth have been taken by satellites, the blue marble is the first and last photograph of the Earth taken by a human being. It has also been touted as one of the most reproduced photographs ever taken.

On a similar note Peter Talbot is an Australia who invented the power board (power strip) for Kambrook. They made money out of it, but never patented the idea which would have cost them god knows how much. Not $300B but it would have been worth a fair amount.
