I would reckon that's well less then what the big bands get for a festival slot now. But the value of musicians has gone up significantly in the last few decades - or at least their ability to extract value.

It seems crazy that in its home state, it's not even broadcast live on TV, but it was actually originally an attempt to draw people into attending the event instead of watching from home. Being the 100th straight running this year, the race sold out, which is what brought in the decision to lift the ban if broadcasting in Indiana.

Typically, race day attracts over 300,000, but being a sell out this year 400,000 or so are expected.

While saving up to have the gearbox fixed, Devi drove the cab backwards. He got to like it so much that he actually had his car converted to drive backwards permanently.

That would be a modern equivalent of the Lightburn Zeta, which went as fast backwards as it did forwards (which admittedly wasn't particularly fast).
