Pink Floyd were such fans of Monty Python on TV that their album Dark Side of the Moon funded some of the first Monty Python movie
Led Zeppelin tipped in some cash too.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail was one of Elvis Presley's favourite films that he would watch all the time.

George Harrison helped fund Life of Brian too.
Just about funded it single-handedly. Been described as the most expensive movie ticket ever, as when he was asked why he put up the money he said, "because I wanted to see the movie".

While on Pink Floyd, they were Dr Who fans as well, or at least David Gilmour was. The Dr Who theme music can be heard in many live Pink Floyd recordings from the early 70's right through to the 90's.
 
Coinciding with the Razors Edge tour, the Soviet Union disintegrated. As a token of thanks for his youthful followers, Boris Yeltsin arranged for AC/DC to add Moscow to the tour. The venue had to be relocated numerous times due to high demand, eventually settling on an airfield. Due to the volatile political and economic climate, the Russian ruble was suffering from severe inflation. For an extremely short period of time, Angus Bucks dropped on the crowd had more value than the ruble itself and were actually used for regular monetary transactions.[1]

During the launch of Apollo 16, astronaut Charlie Duke's heart rate was just over 140 beats per minute, but John Young's was 70!!!!
I could get mine that high just thinking about it!!

And as they were landing on the Moon, Young's heart rate got up to 90; Armstrong's was 150bpm when he landed. I am in awe!! Talk about cool!!! Faark!! :p

Nasa had to rename the sizes of the apparatus used for male astronauts to pee, from small, medium and large..to large, gigantic and humongous because no one was willing to pick their true size.
