Anyone know where to find a rock move TM possibly rock slide or how I can teach it to Rhydon, I need the move to beat rival’s Pidgeot at Route 22 before victory road
Search the site "serebii" and you should get a full list of every TM and its location.

I checked Serebii and found the location, thanks for the help :):thumbsu:

Interested in hearing some thoughts on the game. I'm tempted by it, but apprehensive as somebody who has lamented the over-simplified and childish direction the games have been heading in of late.
Buy it. The nostalgia factor alone is enough imo.

I don't have a Switch so I'd have to be convinced enough to buy one. :p
Oh well in that case its a bit harder to sell. I guess it boils down to, how much do you like/dislike the main changes. Can you handle the Pokemon go like catching and no wild battles? I personally think its a great thing as I thought wild battles were a waste of time at a certain point into the game. Others hate it.

Its a yes vote from me.

So many quality of life improvements. I’m loving having no random encounters and wild battles, being able to change my party without going to town as well as the visuals, names and Pokémon that I remember from watching Cheez TV and playing red/blue/yellow. Only disappointment is the lack of any real challenge. Surely a difficulty setting wouldn’t have gone astray?! I doubt I’ll pick up another Pokémon game but it has been a really enjoyable nostalgic experience so far.

I just don't know. On the one hand it does sound like a more streamlined experience that is easy to pop on for a short period of time and switch your brain off, which is important for me these days - noting I haven't played a game since I beat Danganronpa 3 in maybe April? On the other hand, I found S/M and US/UM a bit of a pain in the arse because I felt no challenge and got frustrated by the host of annoyingly positive, childish and boring characters.

I might hold off for now. Just feeling like some Pokemon lately is tempting me.

Just got it last night, have only started but will continue tonight when not Mario Karting with the wife. Loving the feel of it so far, and excited for the main series game.

So what is this chaining thing? How does it work?
Catch the same pokemon over and over again in a row (I think even going into the capture screen with a different Pokemon breaks the chain). The more you catch the higher the IVs and the higher chance of it being shiny.

So if you catch 10 Pidgeys in a row but then come across a Rattata it breaks? Interesting.

Yeah sorry - edited the post to clarify a bit as you posted that :p

No it won’t break.

If you accidentally run into a different Pokémon from the one you’re chaining, run from it and the chain will stay in tact.

Having a Pokemon run from you is the only way for a chain to break, along with exiting the game obviously.

I’d hate to get on a run of 50+ combo and a pokemon runs from you after one ball.

They never run after one but they can run after two.

If you don't catch em in the first two then just run. Only way to ensure the streak lives on.
