3AW just had the director of the trauma unit at the Alfred on the radio.

He said Graham is doing well and is obeying commands and that there has been no swelling in the brain. He said he is very happy with the progress considering the extent of his injury. He said he had a very severe knock to the head. He said being a fit young man has helped.

He couldn't say how long he would be in hospital for and what the final outcome would be as there has been some injury to the brain but so far it is as good as we could hope for. :thumbsu:

Awesome news, here's hoping all goes well. As I would like to beleive that he will come back 100%, I wonder if the AFL will let Richmond Rookie him like they did with the Cats and Lonegan. Depending of course on how long his rehab time is.

Tops to hear:thumbsu:

Report is he's responding to commands as well so that will decrease the likelyness of brain damage.

Prayers to his family and friends

I think it's pretty clear that the whole football world is strongly supporting Polly, he'll be touched by the sheer volume of people wishing him well.
