im glad he answered my challenge Id almost written him off. although I did say there wasnt room for both him and raines..Tambling really added to the back half with a bit of dash

I thought last night was his best game since he won BOG a couple of years ago. In fact there were a number of good contributions last night!

Anout time he showed us this type of performance as he's probably been in the gun due to his past 4-5 weeks of performances. Has been ordinary but on a big ground last night came to the front line and as one all our running mids lifted their games. Cotchin, Lids, Collins, Polo, Tambling, Foley, Tuck and Jacko all stepping up big, and it flowed through the rest of the team with McGuane lifting to Mitch and Jack taking good contested marks and making their presence felt up forward.
It was great to watch that performance last night, especially without Richo there.
But Dean Polo restored a bit of faith last night, he actually showed confidence breaking the lines and attacking last night.
Robin Nahas has also injected a decent small forward option for us. We just need to quit the inconsistencies.

I worry about his decision making ability to play in the midfield? Half back flank/back pocket is one of the easier positions to play in the modern game.
If he plays midfiled who does he dislodge; Coughland,Tuck,Foley, Cousins, Delidio, Collins, White, Cotchin, Jackson? With exception to Cousins the rest of these blokes will fill the midfield for the next 5 years+.
Back line flanker at best. Consider trade for picks in 2010 draft to GC.

Not enough room through the mid.
Foley, Lids, Cotch, Cousins, Jackson, Newman, Tambling etc are all better than him.

Agree MT and it amazes me how many people on here think he is part of our best 22.
He would be lucky to be in our best 30
Anything we can get for him in a trade would be worth it but I doubt anyone would offer even a 5th or 6th rounder for him.
I can not think of another team that he would be in the starting 22, so what is the obsession with him?

Though I still believe Polo may have some value.......
But we only have 3 or 4 small defenders. Polo will improve and we'll see him take on players more often with confidence. Gotta keep Polo

Had a really good game and is having a good season, I always thought he would become a good player if he was given the chance and he is showing signs. Although I didn't think he and Jacko could be in the same side but well done to Deano for re-inventing himself into a HBF/ small defender.
is looking good. now for a few more with some attitude problems to get thier act together - cleve, connors, gourdis....

I cant believe people two weeks ago called him soft. He never has been and it was proven last night.

pretty sure the goo isnt struggling with attitude problems people.. hope hes tearing it up as we speak..
polo was great last night btw.. getting some confidence with a few games.. nice and composed and skills were better than usual.. as were his hands.
has a bit of grunt too.. saw him chatting away a few times..
