As I was leaving the ground last night, I saw 4 of your cheersquad (men, who I'd estimate to be 30+), trying to provoke a Carlton supporter that would have been no older than 16, into a fight. The kid just kept walking towards the exit, and was followed by these blokes, who were doing everything they could to try and provoke him, such as trying to steal his footy, and pour beer on him. Of course, they would only fight if he came over into the Richmond cheer squad, as by now, ground security and other Carlton supporters had come over.

Apologies if this comes off being trollish, but having worked at the MCG for the past 18 months, Richmond supporters have been far and away the worst behaved supporters I've seen. One incident springs to mind being a bloke being kicked out of a corporate box during the Hawthorn match last year, for throwing party pies at the Auskick kids, only 5 minutes into the first quarter. (Which admittedly ranks up there as equally hilarious as it was horrifying)

Surely there's some sort of standards involved in who is and who isn't allowed into the cheer squad, based on the behaviour from last night? Put the EPL to shame.

Otherwise, congratulations to the other remotely human Tigers fans. Jake King absolutely tore them apart, Tambling showed why he was such a high pick as well. I think Simmonds after a nervous start really turned the match in their favour as well. Should be proud of your team, and their win. Your fellow supporters on the other hand...

If they had beers, that wouldn't have been the cheersquad my friend.

What side of the ground or stand or near what gate was this "incident" in?

in the end every club has a few supporters like this, they make the true supporters look bad. people that want to start fights i believe aren't true richmond supporters they are just a pack of w***ers giving the rest of us a bad name. it's a shame that after a good win people like that do stupid things.

we won the game should have ended there. we beat our rivals on the field thats god enough for me. poeple who want to fight after a game or during a game can F*ck off we don't need supporters like you here!

why apoligise, you know what your intentions are about . it's little more than a unsolicited attack on the fans of the RFC. Hey I noted that a few of the characters in underbelly followed the blues, make of that what you will:eek:

I think you call them your grog squad?

but yes they tried the same on me and my mates last year after you won, one left with id assume a broken nose as his mates left when other collingwood supporters came to join me and my five mates.

I dont condone violence in most situations but you have (as do we) soem terrible stupi and arrogant supporters that only start fights when they have back up

The AFL has a cheersquad code of conduct that all 16 clubs cheer squad must abide by. Fines and expulsion are in order if these conducts are breached.

Was at the same end in which the cheersquad was in, underneath the MCC area, not sure what gate it was, but was the one nearest to the right (from when you walk into the ground) of the display in honour of Bill Ponsford. The usual paraphenalia with which you'd associate a cheer squad member on display.

I'll choose not to get into an argument with someone who can't spell the very word that is the heart of their argument. Not cricket.

If you are going to come in and make allegations about the supporters of this club then at least show the team you support. Then we can make allegations of our own against the supporters of your club.

What does that achieve? How is that relevant? Are you semi-******ed?

I guess its the same as the 5 carlton cheersquad people(all wearing the cheersquad jacket) attacking 2 young richmond supporters.

you think thats bad take a look at this

After leaving the MCG last night and making my way up to Wellington Pde. While i was waiting for a tram i witnessed a very low act from a Carlton fan. The Traffic lights were red and one of the cars waiting for the light to go green the guy has his window down the guy in the car did not even attend the footy no footy colours or anything just out with his family. That is when a Carlton fan went up to the car and Starting Hitting the guy over and over and over for no reason what so ever and he did not even know the guy in question. That to me is a low act from anyone. Everyone says Richmond fans are crazy etc. However to Thump the hell out of someone while in there own car is so wrong its not funny. Did anyone else see this? While he was Hitting the guy and kicking him as well and kicking his car his mates just stood there laughing like it was a big joke. So unacceptable were are the Police when you really need them most.

As is customary for me I went straight to the Grog Squad post game and stood and sung for 30 odd mins alongside men women and children, all having a ball, sining their lungs out in unison and generally projecting a fantastic reason as to why you would want to follow the Richmond Football Club. The middle aged women with their kids standing near me stayed almost as long as me so I can only assume little was offensive more by doing so made their kids Tigers for life. I have always found the grog squad to be powerful, passionate and often pissed but, unless provoked, never blatantly offensive or inspiring violence...and if anyone disagrees, I'll smack 'em one.

Given that you say it was a completely unprovoked attack on someone who had no football gear on, I'd say that the incident in question shows more to do with the perpetrator's inbalanced mental state, rather than the football team he supports. As such, every team has 'em.

The incident I witnessed, reflected an attack motivated by difference of opinion when it came to football teams.

Massive difference.

Now that I have established that you are in fact a Carlton fan, I'll take your story with a grain of salt. However I don't think you should come onto the Tigers board and try to take the moral high ground about the bahaviour of fans when there is documented proof of Carlton fans waiting outside the changerooms after a game so they could attack an opposition player who took out one of Carltons favourite sons, IMO that is just as poor as this 'alleged' incident you are referring to from last night.

What documented proof? What incident?

How is that not any different to the "alleged" incident I refer to and witnessed?

You're more concerned with playing silly "What team d0 u go 4?" games, rather than debating the issue on it's merit. If you can't see that certain teams have serious culture problems in their cheer squad, and in saying that I refer to Richmond, Collingwood and Carlton, all for different reasons, then you're not worth the time of day to discuss the issue with.

If he's stupid enough to follow Carltank then he deserves to have some sense knocked into him.
As opposed to Richmond?
You get idiotic supporters at all clubs. With so many people and police there the situation can usually be controlled easily enough.

Blerggghhh. Ended up pretty sick and sorry for myself last night, after being silly enough not to bring a jumper. Practically crawled home in my hypothermic state. Woke up at some ungodly hour to ring my boss, leave a blurred message saying I wasn't coming in to work today...only to realise a few hours later that today isn't Saturday. I'm sure I'll cop shit for that tomorrow.

Proof that you were delerious last night Lord Fauntleroy. Piss off and take your trolling little story to Bay 13. :thumbsd:
Remember? It's.............. THAT way ------------------->

Sh*t like thats happens every night in Collingwood..
When I got up to leave with about 5 minutes to go, as i walked past the corporate box, around5 intoxicated fat men (obviously Richmond supporters) in suits started giving me the finger and banging on the window like absolute animals. Behind me were 2 young kids who copped the same treatment. The Secruity would have needed a tranquilizer to get them down.

You, uhh....do know what hypothermia is, right?

Yes, a state where your body temperature drops below 36.C deg. that induces a delirious state, causing the patient to talk utter rubbish, get his days mixed, and go trolling in a stuper that risks attracting a red card.
