We are the Power from Port
And we'll always fall short
It's true Port Adelaide tradition
What's the bet it's Cairns or Alice Springs.Maybe now we might get a home game at Marvel against them next year...The AFL cant protect then forever.. l hope
We haven't played GWS in Melbourne since 2016.What's the bet it's Cairns or Alice Springs.
At the end of the home and away season, a mate called me up for a chat and asked me who I liked for the GF, to which I replied, "Anyone except Port"... He said, "Mate you don't have to worry about them, they'll never win anything while Hinkley is coach" and then proceeded to tell me a story. He is on the board of a few different businesses and a few years ago one of them was looking at being a major sponsor of Port. Anyway he flew over, Kenny greeted him and gave him a tour of the facilities. Apparently they have a big photo in a very prominent spot of the immediate aftermath of losing some game, may have been the 2017 elimination final to WCE by 2 points. My mate asked Kenny why they have that up and so prominent, to which Kenny replied, "To remind everyone that every moment counts". Mate got on the plane, and flew back to Melbourne and reported back to the board,,,,"No way we're associating ourselves with those losers."
Every major sponsor across the entire globe is associated with losers.. can losers sell shit??? Poorta can sell tarps and marquees… * can market pharmaceuticals.. every club has their niche.. North can sell rainbow flags better than any club in the comp..At the end of the home and away season, a mate called me up for a chat and asked me who I liked for the GF, to which I replied, "Anyone except Port"... Well knowing his net worth, and his principals, I don't think he needs too much advice re marketing!Every major sponsor across the entire globe is associated with losers.. can losers sell shit??? Tell ya mate, everything and anything is marketable
2022. 12.5k of us and 500 of them. Actually one of my fonder recent memories at the footy. We conceded the first eight goals and thereafter every good moment was cheered with gusto. I'm still not sure if it was Bronx cheers or emotional coping cheers or a mixture of both, but the fanbase felt genuinely connected. It was like watching a disaster film with friendsWe haven't played GWS in Melbourne since 2016.
