Port Adelaide v Richmond. AFL Round 4, 2019

Open the other eye pal. If ever there were four points that most sides should be able to bank it was vs Richmond yesterday. You played a side who struggles bigtime outside Victoria with their entire leadership group out. Like I said a few pages back it was a bloody good win for the Tigers but the result said a lot more about your side than it did about them.
Yet we spanked them last year when we didn't have notable outs.

No it said that they should have reinvigorated that list sooner.

It's about the heart the replacements showed to win against the odds and unearthing blokes like Ross and stack.
Already agreed with that.

And guess what, they wouldn't have shown that had Martin and co been there. They even admitted that post game it was motivation all week.

Yeah why on earth did we not reinvigorate a list that finished 2 games clear on top of the ladder last season, that we then added the most in demand free agent to.

They should put you on as coach.

You should have been able to account for Richmond at home yesterday and you know it. Stop making excuses.
Yes but I'm not gonna swing my dick beating a bunch of kids either like Richmond has.

Port's some amazing side when it suits... Huge scalp. Premiership favourites.

Riewoldt, Cotchin and Rance are long term solutions???

Gonna bank on them winning the flag in 2020 and beyond?

That's why we picked up lynch and drafted blokes like ross and took stack. Party on Garth is a rance replacement.

You don't all of a sudden just drop your stars just because, you really don't get it do you

As i said. Lynch was bought in to replace Riewoldt. So it's not the big loss as it would have been in August last year.

Port has a history of not developing key forwards. Take out Treadrea and there's literally no one else. For us to lose Dixon as with Ryder last season we may as well shut up shop. Like Freo with Sandilands and Pav in years gone by... And that's clearly off fields fault.

You are unbelievable clueless. Lynch was not brought in to replace Riewoldt. The whole mantra was to bring in Lynch to provide a second marking target and forward half ruck support for Nankervis. This would mean Riewoldt would no longer get double and triple teamed and we would have two genuine get-out marking options when kicking up the line so if Riewoldt leads up and takes the ball on the wing, he now has someone to kick to in the air.

We realised that the one tall forward was no longer the best option for us and so they recruited another gun KPF. It's an entire structural and dynamic change of the forward line. Riewoldt at pretty much his career best year of 2018 is still expected to play well for atleast another few years probably til the end of 2021, hopefully 2022 if longevity is on his side. Lynch isn't replacing Riewoldt any time soon.

The fact that Riewoldt injured his wrist in the first quarter of round 2 means that we haven't really seen the desired setup in action. Lynch is now playing the solo forward role without much genuine support and it was only yesterday that he got a decent chop out with Caddy back in the lineup however that's still not our ideal structure in 2019.

It's a massive loss because instead of two gun top-shelf KPFs that we wanted, we are back to square one playing only one of them who also happens to be completely new to the system given he barely trained with the main group over the summer. So the entire point of getting Lynch was to add a second KPF and go down that forward setup as a big chance to try and compete with other clubs who had success playing taller, not to replace the star we already had.

Please don't comment on the situation with Lynch and our forward setup when it's clear you have absolutely no idea about it.
