Lol at Lion Nathan blaming boutique breweries for having to shut down (most of) west ends Adelaide site.

Anyone who is dumb enough to buy that shit ought to google who Lion Nathan owns. Then look up Kirin (who owns Lion Nathan) and their suite of beer (and other products) brands.

Spoiler

They own a dozen of said Brewers they’re blaming lol.

The big multi nationals bought up most of the competition years ago. There’s just a few hold outs and too small to bother companies.

This is purely a business decision made on numbers.

They can save money by doing this. Don’t buy into their bullshit marketing that this has been forced onto those greedy campaigners.

Kirins net worth is estimated around $16billion.

Isn’t the curator of the gabba an ornery campaigner? He hairy eyeballs anyone getting close to the pitch most of the time & gets his own way. Can’t see him going for this.
Either way, it’s a supreme waste. Especially if they’re going to drive it up in that truck.

Haha, can you imagine. The truck rocks up to the Gabba and he just says "**** off".

Pirate life, the very brand they’re blaming was bought out by a similar multinational ages ago.

There’s 2 multi national companies that own 99.999% of beer brands and we’ve got a billion dollar company telling us that theyre suffering because little joe blow is hurting their business.

It’s so ****ing sad the pathetic state of media that it’s basically just an arm of marketing now where actual facts don’t matter.

If that reporter had ****ing balls instead of his being a subsidiary of Kirins marketing department he would have reported the story as such

“Multi national billion dollar company blames loss of sales to breweries they own for having to shut down jobs”

Yeah Kevin Mitchell Jr is probably there thinking, ****ed if I'm letting any of that shit hole MCG turf get anywhere near the playing surface of the Gabba.

Oh wait, he retired. Still same thing for Sandurski.

Years ago I worked with a young lady whose dad was part of the Brown ministry when the Libs came to power after the State Bank disaster. Therefore he was on Team Brown and the hatred she espoused about Team Olsen was quite remarkable - hell they were on the same side. However it didn’t take long before the leader of Team Olsen decided to shaft Team Brown and take over the State.
You could see it happening
My memory is still a bit dim but I think Team Olsen won the next election with a substantially reduced seat count (I think the Labor opposition would have had trouble fielding a cricket team when Team Brown won that State Bank election). By the next election the Libs were back in opposition - all thanks the J Olsen!
The feud in the SA Liberal Party goes back a long way - all the way back to Playford.

When he left and Steele Hall became leader, Hall was committed to getting rid of the playmander, having votes of equal value and having universal suffrage for upper house voting. In other words, he thought that democracy ought to be a real word in the SA political lexicon rather than the weasel word it had been up to that time.

None of this sat well with the establishment faction of the party - the born to rule brigade. Thus what you ended up with was an internal rift in the party - an enmity that was passed down from generation to generation and it certainly contributed to them being out of office for the best part of half a century.

I just can’t get my head around the grass thing. Like what the fu**?

I'm still hoping that it's a marketing gimmick or hoax of some sort.

It feels like something I'd read on Beetoota Advocate or The Chaser.

Ah Steele Hall, I remember Ernie Sigley calling him Tin Shed.

IT'S SOME ******* GRASS

The thousands of dollars and hours of time put into this is a ******* joke.

BOTH TEAMS THAT PLAY IN THE GF MAY NOT EVEN BE VICTORIAN

The fairytale Richmond v Geelong grand final is still alive though - imagine how amazing that would be with a bit of MCG turf thrown in for good measure?!

****, even more reason for an all interstate GF.

Agree. What and incredible waste of money and resources in a year where the league as a whole lost such a significant sum of money.
