Sydney in 2012 lost to Hawthorn by 7 and Geelong by 34.

The difference being that Sydney had been premiers 7 years beforehand so still had the nucleus of a premiership winning squad who had played in at least one grand final - McVeigh, Malceski, Goodes, Richards, Bolton, O'Keefe - and added Parker, Kennedy, Jack and Hannebery through the midfield.

7 years ago, Adelaide was missing the eight and they only have 4 players left from their R1 side - Walker, Sloane, Douglas and MacKay. Two A graders and 2 B graders.

****, how shit a year must this be if Adelaide is on top of the ladder when you consider that?

I'm not sure if this post is a joke. One of the weakest top 8 sides? Are you forgetting 3 weeks ago we beat you by 84 points.

The Eagles game was a nothing game for us. We rested 3 of our best 22 and hardly got out of first gear in perth. If you had finished 4th we would of beat use by 10 goals again
Liked for the inability to comprehend the difference between top and top 8 and the use of use

Very glad we are on the opposite side of the draw to the swans. Feel they are the best chance to knock the crows out too! How dreamy, we make the gf and they fail again

So possibly the only club searching for a new head coach will be GCS.

So for all the talk about our so called easy draw, we played top 8 teams 10 times, the Crows, Geelong, West Coast 9 times, Essendon, Sydney and Richmond 8 times. Only GWS has played more fellow top 8 teams than us with 11.
Plus of the 5 top 8 sides we played once, only one was at home, which was a shit loss to Richmond but still.

Our ladder position combined with our record against the top 8 sides have created a perception that we've had an 'easy draw'. The reality is we've just been the only team in the competition this year who has consistently beaten the bottom sides.

Sydney and Geelong are examples of teams that had easy draws.

Buckley is reportedly set to receive a new two-year contract, following the completion of the club’s internal review.
