Gold-plated since day one with everything laid on as a result of kicking back gargling our snowballs, and yet if not for the quirk of the archaic zone selection setup of 1991/2 (Ricciuto, Modra, Wellman, Groom) and the derpes of the McIntyre Final 8, you'd be Fruchoc Freo.

Since 1999 it's been all underachievement, finals chokes,
player exodus and now the karma parmigiana of a soul-destroying Grand Final defeat.

But nah, you've finally overtaken the Showdown ledger for the first time since 2000, so there's a ringing endorsement of just how mighty the mighty Adlaidfoodiclub™ is moite.

Hopefully not anytime soon. It really is a beautiful continuous implosion.

Though in all seriousness their players must either be quite delusional or completely mentally fragile and either way is not good for their mental health.

When will they learn?

He gets the extra pressure, as he’s not a fight risk. They just risk the kid burning out from the pressure, instead of allowed to ease into it and get his feet. Fan enthusiasm is one thing, all clubs, including ours do that, but outside bottom clubs (who need to sell immediate hope), Adelaide are in a class of their own for overloading recruits with expectations.
