Because their coach needed to stick it up the board as far as he possibly could, and ours was too stubborn to bunker down and settle for a 60-70 point drubbing.

Let's be honest, we were actually terrible at going the flood under Choco, so I don't think it would have mattered.

I'm fascinated by the idea that a team that lost by 20 goals could have somehow halved that margin.

Fagan knows Hawthorn inside and out. Hopefully we are taking notes from this game as Fagan has probably picked some key weaknesses to exploit.
Hawthorn are the only team I’m ever confident we can beat. Tasmania is the wild card.

don’t watch many lions games but forget how good Beams is when fit

Roger me senseless. I come back from Alberton and have a look at the scores and Hawthorn are 44 points down to the Lions at 19 minutes into the last quarter. This is good for us as St Kilda are now only half a game ahead of them. Unfortunately Carlton could keep St Kilda off the bottom with their percentage-draining loss to Melbourne today. With their last four wins being by a combined 253 points Melbourne have catapulted themselves to third.

How refreshing to see a team back themselves and have a fair old dip, play the corridor at the best opportunity and run, get a handy lead and run time down and bide their time to strike, really pleased for Brisbane they earned this win... Daniel Rich though what a huge disappointment this stage of his career, he offers nothing:thumbsdown:
