Fogarty is getting away without too much attention on his deficiencies due to his age, and that’s fair enough, but right now he’s basically a poor man’s Lewis Johnston. Plenty of time for him to work on those deficiencies, and he’s got the talent to be a very good footballer if he does, but as you said, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be successful. Lewis Johnston wasn’t.
He's right, smack bang in the mould of players like Boras, Panos and Johnston. They were all dominant key forwards as juniors who never went on to amount for much at the highest level.

It’s always a concert as a junior when your biggest strength is your strength, size and physicality. Do his credit he is good in those areas, but that’s not an advantage in the AFL like it was when he was a junior. Some people take a few years on an AFL list to develop physically.

Look at SPP, he has transitioned very smoothly into AFL footy. Fogarty isn’t doing that, he to this stage is only getting games though injury. SPP immediately earned his spot and has been competing head to head against the best AFL mids since game 1 ( and might I add doing that very well)

But time will tell.

I’d have though Geelong having to play their home game in round 16 against Richmond at the MCG is a pretty significant advantage for Richmond ? Last time I checked the MCG wasn’t Geelongs home ground ?

Oh wait she’s a Richmond supporter so it’s ok the give Richmond an advantage ? What’s that, 5 “away games” Richmond get to play at their home ground. Get off it Caro, Richmond only leave Vic 5 times this year, that’s what an advantage looks like.

At the end of the H/A in 2017 Geelong were second and Richmond third. Had they played at the Cattery the likely result would have been a Geelong win, then a game at the MCG between Richmond and Sydney. Assuming a Richmond win they would then have had a PF at Adelaide and likely would not have even made the GF. For Caro to say that we had an advantage by playing a game where we have now won two times in a row(what historical advantage is that) against a competition easybeat whereas her team gets important games played at their home ground. Oh but it's not called a home game so it's alright.

Lynch looks at homes in Melbourne as contract talks loom with Crows

Adelaide’s quest to keep hold of dynamic forward Tom Lynch will intensify this week when the club meets his management.

Crows list manager Justin Reid will travel to Melbourne on Thursday, when he will meet Paul Connors and Robbie D’Orazio from Connors Sports Management to discuss Lynch’s contract.

The Crows have offered Lynch a three-year deal but the two parties are some way apart financially, with Victorian clubs keeping a close eye on the situation.

Lynch was in Melbourne for the day on Saturday and despite some reports, he was not meeting his management. He was looking at houses.

Looks like they will lose one of either Sloane or Lynch. But if they lose both, the crows fans might finally have a revolution and take over their club. It might be fun watching a bloody revolution up close.

I agree the conviction idea's got no wheels. But with what channel 7 did to SPP why are they not bullying this person? The AFC have said he is not a member but he had a lanyard so they're otherwise telling porkies(most likely) or he got the ticket off a mate. Either way they know who it is.

Guess what Channel 7 will be thinking...

Nah. I think Fogarty has the tools. He'll be a good player. If he played for us we'd be frothing.

“Lynch was in Melbourne for the day on Saturday and despite some reports, he was not meeting his management.....”

Random Crows Fan - “Phew!!!”

“He was looking at houses...”

Random Criws Fan - *Gulp*.

Lol. I just found the reporting on this ridiculous. In one sentence it states that he wants to stay with the Crows, in another it states that he's looking at houses, even though it's 6 months before he's traded if that were to happen.

Clarke as Crows AFLW coach plus Crows ruck coach..interesting
Their mens ruck coach.
On twitter a few wondering if Crows are doing a sneaky in trying to get around coaching cap limit

If he played for us we’d be thinking how it’ll be a nice luxury in the future to have him as a second stringer behind Marshall.

I can’t get over these clowns thinking their club is rolling in money and can just do whatever they like.

It’s more that Adelaide sees no value in paying for a dedicated AFLW coach because they aren’t making the rivers of gold they need to justify that kind of expense.

... Basically the SMA is costing us money if they underreport our crowd.
How?

What part of the uplift KT talks about is based on the SMA reported crowd figure?

Revenue from ticket sales and corporate packages is not reliant on the "official" crowd figure.

Aren't they still getting handouts from the state government and NT governments for the AFLW?

An article in the Australian that the Suns will fight Victoria for the opportunity to play in Shanghai next year and are outraged that the Vics want to get in on the act. Apparently the Suns are already getting benefits from it.
There was some tiny mention in there about Port’s work.
Would be nice if we could let go of having to pay them nect year.

Apologies if old news but the Vics want to muscle in on China. Early whispers are the $600,000 that we pay GCS will be underwritten by
Vic Government if so then we're ^ in front to start. Rooch on aa saying Port will not have sole rights/say with China indefinitely.
Drew the parallel of Nth Melb and Friday night footy which is now open slather. Mr Gui has said his goal is AFL in China NOT
exclusively PAFC in China. Roach's conclusion ... Port need to get in quick, make what they can, then standby helplessly
as the AFL run the agenda.

When your up against the AFL it's a question of being handed a shit sandwich and told "eat it or starve".

I hardly think though that you can even remotely compare North having friday nights games (which would have required how much effort and financial output and how much risk?) with what Port has done in China, years and years of work and so much risk.
I know we have to remain vigilant but I have faith that Port will continue their hold, at least in Southern China. To take it off us would be absolute daylight robbery

It's pulled from an article about the deal with the SMA. It's to do with the 'official' crowd figure.

did Goddard leave because they lowballed her?

There's more to that story which may come out in time.
I heard it was due to a clash of big personalities within the club.
