This sport has actually turned to genuine shit. Struggle to watch games with the pathetic level of officiating. How?! How can it actually be this bad. How do AFL house sit there and think, yeah these rule changes and decisions rewarding staging is actually good for the game? Baffling.

The rule introduced this season was intended to stop umpire abuse which I reckon most would think is sort of OK. But the umps have been so ******* sensitive even if they think a player might be thinking rude things, it's a 50 m penalty. Absolutely absurd.

There's some unintended irony in that comment.

Just wish the umps had that view of descent in the 2017 elimination final against West Coast.

Just looked on the AFL app to see if there’s another game tonight. You can watch every game of the WAFL and VFL. I’m stuck at home the the spicy cough I probably would’ve watched SANFL instead of the AFL game. Surely they aren’t making money from the league pass.

But as was obvious to all when it was brought in, it will be applied inconsistently. I noticed a few players mouthing off to the umps last night after a decision went against them that didn't get the 50 - I'm glad they didn't, but some will and some won't, which is what will frustrate everybody.

There’s a decent amount of quality in Norths midfield (though some of its missing right now) it’s the rest of the ground they are strapped for talent.

If weightman played for us he would have been umpired out of the game after his acts would have been analysed like the zapruder film in the media to the point that after that media attention his head could get ripped off and a free kick get paid against him for making contact with an opponents arm.
