They really haven't improved on field, but the size of their heads and general confidence is sky-rocketing.

It's amazing what winning a couple games after several in the bottom 4 does to you.

Whilst the Crows inability to beat anyone is a huge red flag though, Hawthorn are rated far higher and are showing they're possibly just as over rated. 1-3 against top 8, with 3 top 8 teams in the next 3 weeks. If the Hawks can't get over an injury riddled Collingwood, or the Bulldogs the week after, they could slip out of the 8 altogether.
Yep Hawks like GC have had a good draw so far.

1-3 v top 8 and 6-1 against bottom 10 and only loss there was to us when we jumped them as Kenny fired up the boys about his $20k fine.

They play Adelaide and Collingwood twice, Brisbane at the Gabba and Western Bulldogs at Docklands and Fremantle in Perth in their last 12 games. They could lose all 7 of those games, but will probably beat crows in Launceston and maybe one other. If they go 2-5 in that group of games, then they have to win 4 of the other 5 games.

Any side that gets 70 points behind us at any stage of the game is rubbish.

Geelong is expecting to be sanctioned over discrepancies in their third-party player payments, with fines looming, according to a report.
The Cats have been audited by the AFL over the past few months as part of regular checks on club books and according to veteran reporter Caroline Wilson, the league has found several issues.
“The AFL conducts regular salary cap audit activities across a number of clubs every year as part of our annual salary cap compliance process,” a league spokesperson said in March. “We do not provide commentary on the conduct or progress of any of these activities and the only time we release any information publicly is if we determine there has been a breach of AFL rules.”

The audit has reportedly found discrepancies between its results and the Cats’ books, including “lodgements that should have been noted but weren’t”, according to Wilson.
“The audit is virtually finished. Results have been slowed down by the fact that Geelong COO Marcus King has been away, I think studying actually at Harvard, he’s back, and my belief is that Geelong are expecting a fine, or there will be a fine from the AFL over the coming weeks,” she said on Seven.

You mean all their stars and boom recruits getting sprawling farms, seaside villas and investments in the real estate and hospo industries isn’t due to fortunate timing and a spartan culture of frugality?!

I suppose next you’ll tell me their 2007 team became musclebound supermen who never got tired in the space of one preseason, not because they simply wanted it more, but for some other reason…

Ah yes, fines. That'll show em and also compensate clubs who are victims here.

Let them just dip into their infinite well of pork barreling and say "no worries, totally worth it."

This comp utterly sucks lol it's basically just geared for the 'big 4', Geelong & a AFL House nepo baby once in a while.

Reading between the lines, Geelong have badly f-ed up and the AFL are hoping some pithy fines will sweep this all under the rug and they don't have to delve into debate around flag legitimacy.

Has it been stated anywhere whether these fines sit within the soft cap? If not, ****ing lol. Every club should be doing it.
