You are over rating Freo, they aren’t that good.

I think GC is a club to keep an eye on. Very up-and-down, but they should be 3rd on the ladder if they played the opening round.

My Portrauma-addled brain seems to recall a pathetic US-flavoured attempt to use J-Lo's "Let's Get Loud" like that many many years ago at one of our games. What on earth were our (or was it the AFL's?) Barketing department thinking.

The sole remaining point of littleclub Norf and to some extent STK, WB, hell, even MEL is to act as a dependent, second tier subset of the "big Vic clubs" cartel in terms of AFL power structures. The commission has independence, but the game and the business is literally there and theirs and they mean it to stay that way. Bit like the necessarily corruption-prone clique cycle ya see all over the world when execs bounce between regulator <-> regulated company too quickly and freely.
