North Melbourne has a really cool vibe different to the other inner suburbs

Ecelctic mix of people, lots of interesting warehouse renos, victorian housing, awesome eateries

It also feels more off the tourist trail which I like

Used to stay in a downstairs apartment a couple of gays guys rent out and drive down to docklands for the footy

Houston with 1 touch in the first quarter. Yet again completely non-existent. Tell me again how we got screwed in this trade?

he’s not a great ‘defender’ but playing that role for us was a great avenue to get the ball into his hands as a great user of the ball. (great rebounder not great defender)

i suspect it’s a combination of Collingwood not using him first option as they have others coupled with him still learning how to fit in.

Yep.

A lot of the 'burbs that were once regarded as shitty, industrial, working class etc and hence left alone for development are now being treasured as having character and heritage. Is a worldwide trend.

The trick is to encourage development that recognises the value of that history and not tear down the workers cottages small shops etc. at the same time as you tear down the big old factories that supported them for prefabricated shopping centres and car parks. Sadly a lot of the character and heritage was lost before that lesson was learned. The lesson was and still is slow to be picked up by councils in former industrial areas because of pressure from developers whose interests are never long term.

Footy clubs and ovals are an important part of that history.
