Berry is a shocker for playing for the high tackle. He was the one I saw do it at training.

Gotta admit, despite all their faults, the Crows have created a gameplan that is allowing them to totally choke teams and then hit them with their scoring ability the other way.

Theyre an incredibly negative side, but its working.

Gotta concede they're definitely a top 4 side and thus a contender. Very early in the year to be absolutely peaking like they are though, will be interesting how that plays out. Looking at their draw, it is possible they will only lose 1-2 more this year.

Reminds me of Hinkley top 4 teams.

Doesn’t seem to hold up come finals

Rowie just said Josh Rachelli is going to win a Brownlow Medal

Curtin is becoming a good player quite quickly now. Beautiful contested mark for a wingman.

Adelaide have the luxury of Dawson, Curtin, Hinge, Michelanney and Worrall who don’t play key positions but are good contested markers around the ground.

Their two young key forwards have big frames and are strong. Compare to how underdeveloped our key forwards are.

You shouldn’t be allowed in a forward line unless you are good in the air. It’s the key to Collingwood for example.
The fact we regularly employ small and key forwards who can’t compete in the air is the source of most of our forward line problems.

Great post.

Of our non-tall players, the guys who consistently compete well in the air are:
JHF, Butters, Rozee, Bergman, Jones, Wines, Burgoyne and Evans.

Boak, Mead, DBJ, Rioli, SPP are all poor aerially.

That marking ability is part of what made Monfries-Gray-Wingard such a great small-mid forward trio.
