Let’s also not pretend that Adelaide have reinvented the wheel here. Theyve been shit for almost a decade, had a raft of very high draft picks because of it, won a spoon and recruited some lifelong crow supporting elite players as well. It’s a cyclical league, their turn was always going to come again. The Essendons/Carltons/Norths who perpetually blow their rebuilds aren’t the norm

They tried to recruit harrison petty and Clayton Oliver. From memory they offered two first rounders for petty and god knows what for Oliver.

I wonder how far back they’d be if they actually got what they wanted at the time.
