Geelong Brisbane Adelaide. Collingwood are gone. Adelaide will smash them next week.

Geelong by 119, Crows have already got the merch to celebrate it

No Tony Robbins from Fly tonight. He looks and sounds frustrated - banging on about lack of system.

First thing he did was apologise to the fans, then refused to make excuses. Looked shattered and bewildered.

Why wasn’t he smirking and trying to make jokes before blaming injuries and bemoaning luck?

Nothing to write home about, 4 kicks tonight, has struggled to get a game all year.
Bit like Anita Ward with Ring My Bell, one hit wonder.

Isn't Frampton more of a stop defender? Why worry about kicks when you have Josh Daicos, Houston, Howell, Quaynor in the backline as half backs that distribute the ball out of defence better

Like no doubt many I expect the tingles will give the wobblers an absolute smacking next week.

The age and lack of pace of their list was severely exposed by the squawkers last night and it doesn't bode well for the future either (particularly if Tassie get a gig), eg the captain Moore appears to have caught the Tom Jonas disease of punching the ball away when he is in a position to mark which could suggest he is worried about spilling it and giving a scoring opportunity to an oppo small so he is taking the softer option instead, prize recruit Houston's form has fallen so far off a cliff he looks more like a late 2nd or early 3rd rounder than a two time All Australian, and he also appears to me to have developed a tendency to avoid the contest which wasn't as noticeable during his time at Alberton, Billy Frampton has reverted to being the magoo's level player he was during his stints with us and the crom, and if the Daicos bros are as ineffective as they were in last night's game and are not allowed to dominate through the mid field a lot of their team mates then struggle to get the ball or do anything positive with it when they do, and they will need to be much better than that in finals or the wobblers could be looking at a straight sets exit!

It does make me wonder though where I've seen a team drop out of premiership contention after dominating the early part of the season before?

Still not prepared to write off anyone yet, Collingwood look in trouble but if they can somehow upset crows next week they will be back. The smart money would be on a Geel v Bris granny they are the most seasoned finals sides and have the 2 best coaches.

Good year for the Crows, there is really only 3 or 4 teams in it.

Hawthorn going the whole way would be another nice little FU to Hinkley.
Last night was the worst possible game.

Collingwood winning would've been a massive step to the Hawks missing Finals. And would've been the perfect footnote to Ginnivan dropping the aeroplane celebration only for them to go on and miss finals.

But that would've been the result of Collingwood returning to form. Which also sucks.

Probably who is unlikely to win it this year: Bulldogs (defensive) , Suns (talent but no mongrel).

Unlikely to get to the last day but could win it if they make it there:
Fremantle (Potential match winners and solid key positions), GWS (Talent and experience but up and down form), Collingwood (fallen in a heap after 3 years consistently being up)

Should be disappointed if they don't make the prelim and can win it all.
Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hawks.

My main issue with Hawthorn is that they got too good too quick and they don't have that top end talent because they are coached so well.

They have Will Day but he's injured all the time and is a worry and then if you want an impact it would be Nick Watson. They are two super duper midfielders away from really killing it. They will be very hard to find. They should be throwing everything and the kitchen sink of any great midfielder wanting to come home.

They want Butters.

McRae to me just demonstrates why it's crucial to capitalise on your time at the top and taking your opportunities. They pip the flag in 23, and it's never guaranteed no matter how good you prepare, luck with injuries that you you'll do it again.

We just had to believe we could win in 14, instead of thinking it paved the way for us to claim it in 15.

I remember Russell Ebert saying this just after we lost the prelim. You gotta take your chances.

2020 was another opportunity we needed to convert. Extraordinary opportunity really.

It's a weak league this year - Crows have it all in front of them IMO. I don't care they are the mob down the rd, it's they have a decent team and are flying.
