Okay, position by position, who are the best 3 you have seen in your time from all the clubs?

One rule: The players must have played a large majority of their career in the position, and I have added a "utility" spot for the swing men. A couple of the centres could be arguable as rucjk rovers, but that's due to the way footy has progreessed. There hasn't been many very few true centre players in the last couple of decades.

Never saw Alves play, how would you describe his playing strengths Snake_Baker ?

Not as silky as Greig & Flower, and not quite the quality of mark that they were, but he was just dogged and racked up big stats for his time.

He averaged slightly more disposals that Greig or Flower. Captained Melbourne for 4 years. Represented Victoria in the 72 and 75 state carnivals. Won a couple of B&F's and made their TOTC.

Francis Bourke was another spoken about but he played mostly as a defender when I saw him play.
