We're hard to match when Gaff and Shuey are both firing like they were last night. Can't be many games we've lost when they're both playing well.

Hurn and Emac have been really solid lately. Barrass Gov and Yeo would have to be the best intercepting trio in the league. Lots of chemistry from our back half, and a lot of composure in taking the right options going forward for the most part.

Really down on Sheed's game, terrible kicking and decision making.
I've been telling your first point on the trade game for a while. Those two along with Gov and jk were the catalyst in our rise two years ago. They also a have a pretty good track record v crows in recent years.

+ Boots being a leader and telling the troops what needs to happen.
+ Gaff moving the ball quicker after he got yelled at. Twice.

- Sheed not moving the ball quicker.
You can see Mitch's influence of sheed. I never could ted him to be evasive type but he is moving through congestion well. I hope Mitch sits through sheed Game review and talks to him about what he can improve. That said I thought sheed has been way too Kennedy centric and when going forward will overlook better options for jk.

One of my favourite plays of the day was Yeo's three possessions from the half back that ended in a shot on goal to Kennedy(?). Was so dirty he missed, owed it to Yeo bigtime to kick the goal, superb run.

Was enormous in the first half but I think only touched the ball 4-5 times in the second half.
Yeah very true. He set up that win for us though I reckon, I wonder if it's a fitness thing or a Priddis thing that he dropped off.

Or the fact we were comprehensively smashed in the ruck and midfield.

How the ******* **** do you manage to keep track of that ball in the air let alone mark it. That's ridiculous

Ninja tricks.;)

Gotta say Sheed is one of the most interesting players we have on our list. At points in time he looks a million dollars, in the 3rd quarter selling the candy twice before a handpass to Gaff in the 3rd (correct me if I'm wrong there); then in the 4th going man mode in the clearance, stands up in the tackle and weighs a beautiful handpass to Hutchings. Then he also pulls dumb crap like handballing straight to opponents and falling away dramatically with his poor tank in the 4th quarter.

I think he's really learnt a lot from this season and is definately someone to watch next season. Mitchell's influence has been telling as hes not panicking as much when under pressure and it looks like he's developed a bit of toe about him as well.

I have been questioning our fitness.

But the desperation we showed to the last moment shows it is mental not physical.

This could be a break out game giving a few confidence.

Overall effort.
Better tackling.
Redden's first half
The whole defence - combined well to counter the amount of ball coming in.
Jettas second half. (Maybe he and Redden had a pact)
Mitchell getting stuck into players about position in first or second quarter. He was demanding they respond - no prisoners taken there.
McGovern and Barrass - led defence all day.
Gaff's day.
Shuey - apart from those couple of moments in fourth (maybe he was trying too hard)
Cripps - 3 goals - we needed them.
Petrie's efforts - got beaten but it wasn't a lack of effort on his part.

-
We seemed very JK centric going into the forward line. Having said that there were numerous times when JK and JD seemed to be leading into similar space.
McKenzie's disposal is heart in mouth stuff too often.
Jettas first half.
Priddis is done. There were times the ball just went past him without any change in pace on the part of Priddis.
Our skills seem to go to sleep from time to time.
Partington was quiet - change in pace maybe.
Sheed seemed overawed on occasions.

bit tough on sheed. Made some absolute crappy decisions and executes some poorly. That said he did more good than not i thought. The fact that we have been Too jk centric cost him heaps. He looks for Kennedy way too often going forward. That means he overlooks better options and he also slows down movement. Fixable issues over the week.

HE'S COVERED IN GLORY! LEWIS JETTA!
My personal favourite is "Darling it hurts but id doesn't".

On side note, would love to see a game JD takes 5 contested grabs, boots 5-7 goals and does something like that. He was pretty un selfish yesterday.

EMac has a better left foot than Gaff/Sheed/half our list has a right foot. He's a tidy kick but you don't really want him kicking intricate passes from the backline and I think we've done well to limit the amount of times that happens.

He's an amazing unassuming defender though and I couldn't be happier for him. Looked like being delisted halfway through the year really but has now made it very hard to drop him. Just hardly gets beaten.

We need him there while players like Gov and Barrass float around (although Barrass flogged Jenkins on the weekend)

What a bloody game, must win and to beat the top team while they threw everything at us - even in the last 3-4 minutes they were trying to knock down that deficit and were running forward hard. We did well to hold them off.

**** yes. Hopefully a turning point for the club

We still got smashed in centre clearances and stoppages, and we benefited from Tex being out and Adelaide butchering the ball inside 50.

Ryder will school whoever we play in the ruck next week. Need to be smarter about that.

Talia missed as well the game meant nothing to Adelaide to be honest, top spot was locked in and try not to get injured..

Amazing effort.

Having been a member since 1998 I can easily say that was a the best celebration I've seen for a H&A game. Equally as happy as winning the 05 qualifying final. Wasn't there for the prelim the fortnight later though but did see our first two at home in 06.

But PLEASE Gaff wrap some players up and tackle them!
