Why are you bagging Henderson in a positives thread?

/face palm
Henderson could kick a bagfull next week and he will still be going back to the VFL for Waite
Nope.

White is injured, so he'll stay.

The positive is Henderson kicking three and taking some marks to shut up the moronic Carlton supporters bagging him and giving him the Bronx cheers.

Don't defend him, How about when we needed a goal in the first quarter?, when the game is in the balance... any other player wouldve kicked that goal? How about that shot after the siren ? Or that mark that went straight through his hands?

So you are not capable of rational discussion and analysis?

Ok, I will move along...

Don't know why people are bagging Hendo, he did pretty well for us and he deserves his spot in the team after this performance. We need him confident and it seems he is getting there, ffs get off the kids back, we heard the same shit last season with Yarran.

To his credit he stuck at it and kept presenting, however when we needed him to stand up the 1st quarter he didn't. Don't kid yourselves he's not up to AFL standard, First 4 games were awful, and then 1st half today was horrible, how much longer can we afford to carry someone who can't take a mark?

Yas probably don't like opposition supporters posting, but I just wanted to say a few things.

Firstly I loved that Aaron Joseph hammered Rioli. Hate the love fest the commentators get over him and to see him play shite as a direct result of a player every team needs is awesome. :thumbsu: Joesph

Secondly I rate Mitch Robinson. He is tough, has a lot of ticker and I'm wondering why he isnt in your senior side more often? I saw in the paper some crap about late nights or whatever but surely that's not a good enough reason to keep this soon to be champion out of the side?

I think you guys were more unlucky than anything else. Hawthorn just found their testicles for the first time this year on a day when you guys were a bit down, which is understandable after some pretty fantastic wins over top sides lately.

I tipped Hawthorn.

They have too much talent and self respect to be down for that long.

They're not Richmond.

Hawks were the cleaner team and deserved to win.

Yet we were undermanned with Bower, Waite, Walker, Austin, Mclean, Lucas and Houlihan out.

Plus three players not right on the day.

The Hawks would have struggled if the equivalent of those players had missed today.

I don't know why a few Carlton supporters are down on Robinson.

He's a beaut who lifts the side with his intensity and hardness.

Russell is playing well now, yet he wasn't a patch on Mitch at the same age.

We're still coming.

Or how about that time Judd switched play in the defensive 50 and coughed it up straight into Peterson's hands directly in front...
Or how about the time Setanta played on from 1 metre out and fluffed it up...
Or how about the time Betts missed a set shot from 15 metres out directly in front...

Stop scapegoating him ffs! He is 20 years old you moron, acknowlege the fact he's going to make mistakes and move on. It's the best thing for his development to play games in the seniors, he showed he has fantastic talent with a much improved second half. You won't ever see a dud player take a pack mark like he did in that third quarter.

Say what you want about him spraying kicks or dropping marks but at least he got himself into a position where he had a chance to take that mark or kick that goal. How many possessions did Betts, Yarran, Garlett and Setanta get as a collective???

People like you who go to games and bang on about a kid's performance as if it's the reason we lost a game by 50 points make me sick. It took a team effort to play as poorly as we did.

FWIW Hendo was the best forward we had today.

'Sauce' shows promise, contested marking is very impressive he's just got to back himself with his footskills. When he gets the footy he'll handball to a player under pressure, always. You've got to be a little smarter than that and realise what is around you. Mind you he wasn't alone in that category today. He could very well be an effective resting tall forward as he can take a grab and actually finish.

Joseph toweled up Rioli...

Hendo the biggest positive. He looked like he found his feet in the team structure and worked hard at imposing himself on the game.

AJ cementing himself as a gun.

Setanta can get better.

Jacobs proving an asset around the ground.

Armfield has reinforced cemented his place in the side.

Robbo matched intensity with excellent decision making.

Man this kinda **** gets my back up. You're an absolute disgrace.
How is he any different to any other player out there?

His second half was a positive,

But please mate, this isn't the under 10's.. missing goals from the goalsquare and dropping chest marks is unforgivable, all players are equal, if Fevola had of done what Henderson did today he wouldve been crucified.. Don't give me that "young" crap either he's been in the system for 3 years now he has been given time, he has played no good games this year (except for the second half today) he clearly isn't up to it and needs to earn his spot.

If Hendo hadn't played we would've lost by a bigger margin.

Yarran had an injury but Setanta and the other little helpers had zero impact.

But let's single out Lachie who was our most productive forward.:o

Big positive that no one mentioned - Johnson got injured.

Yeah I know that's a shit attitude but I seriously hope that's the last game he plays for us.

I'd much rather see Anderson in the team than him even though everyone bags him.

Joey just needs the consistency of 10+ games in a row like what Russell and Armfield got when they seemed out of depth.

Also think the loss of Waite and Houla hurt as it completely changed our forward line, especially when Setanta was due for a bad game.

With White injured, will we see Austin back? Is he fit?

Well I agree with the positives so far and I'll add I thought White was looking rather good before he went down with injury...which was a negative..but er, you know what I'm saying :o

I think Hendo will be very good for us.

How good were Mitch's long kicks into the forward 50, kid is a gun. Was brilliant when put into the middle and got us back in the game.

Buddy.
IF you break your wrist, don't expect any sympathies from me.
I'm sure having a two man interchange was a great positive
guy worked his ass off to get to the ones. So **** off

Yeah ok guys, 4 bad games vs 1 good half. But just praise him because he's young, what's gunna happen when he plays terrible again next week?

Didn't say White's injury was a positive, and I doubt Johnson being off the ground hurt us that much.

He may have worked his arse off but he just isn't good enough.

We really need Thornton back out of our team, but sadly with Austin, White and Bower all injured we're forced to play him.

I think Anderson turned the corner tonight. Still needs to learn his limitations though. He's not particularly good at evading or breaking tackles, yet he continually takes them off.

Johnson is what 23? I think he has done ok the last 2 weeks he has been in, this week he was off early when he got injured, so no point bagging him.
