On Hurley, it appears we are still keen. Whilst I have always felt we were a big player in that conversation, I seriously question whether we need him anymore, due to the improvement of our current backline. Still, if he came for free as a delisted player, how could you say no?

If it didn't cost us picks, I'd be happy to pick up Hurley.

We'd probably then have an obligation to trade out Hartigan, as he deserves to be playing.

I guess that nets us a second round pick or a player.

Then, I'd be pondering whether we can get this year's second back from GWS plus Steele, by packaging things up.

Realistically, Steele may not be a big enough bump for our mids. We'd maybe need to be looking elsewhere.

Why would we have to toss in a pick as well? KPD are worth more than mids. I wish people would stop trying to add our picks to every trade that is suggested. Brayshaw is ok but already getting hurt.

I've said this before and will say it again, even if we did pick up a KPD like Hurley there is NO reason to trade Hartigan. Would not be on much, not looking to leave, wouldn't net us much in a trade and would be the depth a team needs to have for KPPs.
