Glad crouch#44 has been called out for his continual bull****. He's been posting crap for ages under the smug guise of someone who's "in the know". The sad thing is he's doing a very poor job of hiding his complete lack in inside knowledge.

You said a year ago Danger would leave? Bravo Nostradamus, what else ya got?

A coin has two sides. Heads or tails.

Yeah and that's the problem in this country. People are uncomfortable with others being labelled racist. We want to turn the other way and sweep it under the carpet and shhh, don't talk about it.

Screw that. Let's call it exactly as it was, without making pathetic and insulting excuses. It was a ridiculous comparison, based on a negative stereotype of indigenous people. It needed to be called out and it was.
That's ahuge generalisation that helps no one.

Worse places to be traded to than the reigning premiers
Agree - but all indications are that he only wants to go one place. Thats the point I was making. Hawks could offer the world, and if PD said no, it would be dead.

Go Catters

I thought it was interesting that the AFC release said that he wanted to go to "Victoria". I'd have Gerlong a very warm favourite but I'm not convinced there won't be more twists and turns.

If hawks offer the world and Geelong try get him cheap as it is apparently their right we will hold out using hawks as the market value. Geelong would at least need to get close otherwise danger risks being at melb after we refuse Geelongs offer, he refuses hawks and ends up in PSD

Do you seriously just name Spangher as a guy who's going to help you stay up the ladder?

There's a couple of reasonable kids in that list and I'm sure you have plenty of players that play well in the VFL, I mean, it's the VFL. But do you seriously think these guys are going to push for a flag when Hodge, Roughhead, Lake, Lewis, Burgoyne, Hale, Gibson and Mitchell retire.

I think you know you're in trouble.

no doubt that its not a granny team, but its still a good start for a team. Then you find who to build around

Well...your 2015 1st is going to late teens maybe even up to 20 with compensation picks taken into account, 2nd rounder getting towards the 40s (which in this shallow draft, looks to be heading into lottery territory). 2016 1st probably fairly similar (before your dramatic fall down the ladder as all your good players start to retire and you're forced to play all those vanilla kids you've picked up with picks in the 30-70s over the past 5 years.

And a couple of guys who can't get a game (Whitecross? Please).

Yeah, probably not mate.

I know Hawthorn's been brought up a bit but I just can't see you having the currency to trade for him (and he's dead set on Geelong, who are generally very fair and equitable at the trade table). You've got no early picks and no good players under 27. The only ones I could think of with some sort of currency are Bruest (who's almost 25) Hill (who hasn't really come on) and Gunston (not going to happen).

Bit of a pipe dream I think mate.
Hartung and anderson would suit but also need higher 1st rounder than what they've got

I agree with you. Patty is going to Geelong for fair value in a trade, or he's going to Carlton in the PSD. Nowhere else.

Hill hasn't come on? Serious?

If it comes down to the last day of trade week and the cats still haven't come to the party with a decent trade, Danger realises the AFC are going to send him to the draft I think Patty would come around to a trade with the Hawks.

Up to Geelong if they really want him or not.

look champ, you're the one who was defending blatant negative racial stereotyping with asinine guffawing about playing the race card. if you don't like the implications that reflect upon you from that, then you might want to step back and think more carefully about it.

What I will say is that you if think you can diffuse arguments by casually saying something as trivial and pedantic as "the race card" either you've got unsavoury views or you lack the depth of reason to be worth listening to.
I've been reading your posts and trying to work out what inner demons could make someone write the utter crap that you have on this, I mean happily calling someone racist on a public forum without knowing anything more about them than a post that could have been taken in 10 different ways says a lot more about you than it does him, and it suddenly occurred to me. You're just a w***er who makes themselves feel better about their lives by belittling others from the safety of your keyboard. And like Robyn Williams in Good Will Hunting, this revelations has made me feel so much better.
Get out of your basement kid there's a big world out there.

The only thing ruled out right is clubs other than AFC and GFC. Be it for a compo pick, or a trade is still speculation. For now. And the talk of a deal getting done could refer to trade value, or it could refer to the AFL compo be accepted. And there is no way anyone outside of the clubs inner list managements would know where that is at.

Yeah... that's not happening. Our CEO basically said this last week.

There is a lot of wishful thinking going on here from all sides. Geelong think they will get Dangerfield for cheap....they will not. Adelaide fans think we can bend Geelong over.....we won't. Opposition teams' supporters think they will come in and steal him away with a better deal....they won't. There is more chance of Dangerfield playing at Adelaide next year than at any other Victorian club that is not Geelong.

Fact is, Geelong will give up a lot more than what they hoped for and Adelaide will get less than what we hoped for but Dangerfield will end up at Geelong. My prediction is 2015 and 2016 first round draft picks which is a bargain for Dangerfield but a lot more than what Geelong thought they would be giving up.

Cats fans still delusional thinking they'll get one of the best players for $800k per annum and not have to trade anything for him.

They should be ecstatic that a player like danger is not taking up $1.2m per annum. Him taking $800k allows them to recruit another solid B grader.
