Can someone please explain to me how a kid can manage 16 possessions, with 9 of them contested, yet still manage a disposal efficiency of 88%? 88% was the team high as well. Seriously, Steele Sidebottom is a freak of human nature. Ow, on top of that, 2 goals, and 2nd most 1%s for the team with 8, behind only the Sack, who had 9.

By the way, before you want to curse Johnson's disposal, he managed 86% from his 21 possessions, and that was the 2nd best for the side with Sack who also had 86% from his 7 possessions.

I love the way Hayes's 14 tackles were talked up against Geelong. Luke Ball has another solid game with 20 possessions, 12 contested, 9 tackles and 9 centre clearances. Our two closest midfielders were Didak and Pendles with 3 clearances each.

That is all for now. What did you think?

What do I think? I think you have been drinking and I have no idea why you posted this(nor Why I am responding for that matter) 88% is massive in this day and age.

As for Hayes 14 tackles. I don't see what your gripe is. Everything Hayes does deserves to be talked up. As a football lover I love Lenny.

As for ball he was talked up alot last night.

Some of our supporters constant fascination with some things we do not being recognised is bewildering. We get more recognition for the good we do and more recognition for the bad we do than any other team in the comp and it will always be this way. Personally sometimes Id prefer if we did actually fly under the radar at time. As collingwood we will never fly under the radar.

Huh? WTF are you on about? I was making a post-match observation.

If you think Sidebottom, a 19yo with under 25 games under his belt, isn't a freak to have those kind of stats in just his second season, there is something wrong with you. He deserves to be recognised by the supporters after last night's performance. Statistically speaking, thats gotta be one of his best games for the club, and I personally rate it higher than his 5 goals against the Roos.

16 possessions
9 contested
disposal efficiency of 88%
2 goals
8 1%s

Also, when was I talking down Hayes as a footballer? I was just pointing out that, week in, week out, Luke Ball has been performing just as much of a team-oriented role for the Magpies and has gotten over 8 tackles in a game 5 times already this season for Collingwood.

This has nothing to do with Collingwood, its simply an observation after last night's game, so pull the pole out of your arse and don't have a go at me for no reason.

Fair point on the Sidebottom comments. I mis-read them so sorry about that. On the ball issue my point still stands. You were inferring that he is not getting the kudos he deserves and I believe he is and I still am not sure what hayes 14 tackles has anything to do with it. Ball was given the credit he deserves after the game and in sundays footy shows.

I am constantly annoyed at the fact that our supporters often complain that certain things do not get recognised by the media and I think its a crock. Having said that when we have a coach who complains about everything including the draw when we have had the easiest draw in the comp for the last decade its hardly suprising that we have supporters who complain about everything and anything. Personally I think its bloody great that we get the chance to have another crack at the leagues best because we blew it in our last 2 chances and I hate to be going into the finals with those being our performances against the best. Off topic I know but I just thought I put my 2 cents in.

As for the pole, I think I will keep it there, its a nice fit. Besides the mrs is 5 months up the duff and I can't get no other form of satisfaction......

Also if thats not what you were inferring with ball then fair enough but it kind of came accross as a whinge.

I was speaking in contrast, as Malthouse was. Neither I, nor Malthouse, as others have stated, were whinging about the opposition, if idiots like Mark Fine had actually paid attention, they'd have realised he was using the opposition draw as an example, compared to us, not complaining about who the opposition plays. Listening to SEN last night absolutely frustrated the hell out of me, because you could tell he was speaking so much crap, and twisting the post-match interview around so it suited his argument. Malthouse's main concern was that we have to play last year's top 3 twice, yet they don't.

Regarding Hayes/Ball. I was speaking in contrast. Hayes is a champion, and I don't mean that Ball deserves the same accolade, I was just stating that on the BF main board, Hayes has a thread, and Ball is absolutely shot down, yet Ball, going by his stats again this weekend, is providing plenty of output. I'm with you regarding flying under the radar.

As if thats stopped you. Soft, ant22, very soft!
