We had you West Coast supporters wearing the brown trousers for a good 3 and a half quarters Keyser, not bad for the 2014 wooden spooners

I was going write something similar to this. Loved your pressure tonight, if there is one thing we can all take away from this, its that this year is going to be a lot closer then most people thought it'd be. Should be hot favourites against Adelaide next week

That effort probably did more for our membership numbers than the wins over GWS and the Demons.

A loss is a loss, but I don't care about it when we have the intent and desire that we demonstrated in the first two and a half quarters. The kids ran out of legs because they were trying so hard and I can't fault them for that. Another couple of years and we will be destroying teams if we keep that effort up for 4 quarters.

Well boys and girls it was not the result we wanted, but it was a good result. I screamed when the rest of the ground was silent, I implored Cripps to recall were he was traded from at the top of my voice to bemused idiots, and I called back when the uniformed misfits called ball because, quality frankly, they were desperate.

I can't recall being so satisfied with a loss in a long while. Richardson and the coaching staff have got our structure and work ethic just right. The kids are further advanced than we could reasonably have hoped for. We were just a few Steven moments away from a win and a GWS Schmider kicks from going further in front. A great effort by the boys.

It won't be long until we work our way up the ladder. The wooden spoon is not for us, bit hopefully we still pick up a great Key forward...

Very impressed - caRN SKILDAH!!!!

Good No Great NO unf*&^%believable - Dunstan (Jeez Tom Boyd must be an absolute gun if this bloke is an 18 draft)

Great - Gwilt

Good - Delaney, Webster

PS Did I see Geary playing on darling at some stage?

Might be difficult to win next week after the trip to perth. Especially since Adelaide didn't travel

I think Delaney is a better kick than Hudghton or Dawson.
I don't know about hudghton but he is a better kick then Dawson.

I thought websters sidestep and quick kick to Dunstan when he won the free inside 50 was a glimpse of the player Webster will become. I have really high hopes for him. He is super fast and has excellent agility, couple that with his weapon of a boot and his awesome desperation and I think we have a pretty special player on our hands.

reminds me of a young but more nimble grant birchall. kicking style looks a blend of Suckling and Birchall.

First you see him kick the ball and say yep we need this bloke in the backline. Then you see the sidestep in traffic and delivery into the forward line and say yep we need this guy in the midfield. Will be interesting to see where he ends up playing.

I say we invest in a cloning machine, that'd solve all our problems. We could use it on Manimal and Steven too :p:D

Then he goes forward and kicks a few goals. To put it simply, he puts his hand up and backs himself anywhere. 19, only played 3 games and just played BOG for us.

Think he should be playing off the wing with his pace, will get more of the ball too so he has the chance to use his damaging kick to the benefit of our forwards

3/3 games this year the opposition has had more scoring shots than us.

Our accurate kicking v GWS (15.5) meant a win, whereas poorer kicking v WCE (8.10 - by comparison) didn't help us with scoreboard pressure.

We were helped by poor kicking by Melb for our win.

We might only get those ~20 opportunities each game to convert, so the groans might be louder this year when those shots for goal veer off for a point.

The positive is that it does show the pressure we are putting on opposition teams over the field (midfield & defence) that is also limiting their opportunities to score, IMO.

For the appreciated contest Maister gives, unless he can hit the scoreboard soon, he will be back in the VFL for players that provide scoring opportunities so we can increase those scoring shots up to ~25.

The addition of Steven, Schneider & Billings (hopefully) should assist this stat, also Lee to gradually get himself right to put his name up to selectors as well.
